has anyone found it possible to walk into a Game in Debenhams and just buy one yet?
im limited to debenhams Game stores now as I received a £100 voucher and Debenhams is **** for anything else
I think Game get them in quite often.
I resorted to buying it from Virgin on oxford st on friday, as I have 80 quids worth of currys vouchers. I figured i'll need wiiplay anyways, so i'll buy that from PC World (can use the vouchers there), as neither currys nor pcworld were getting them in anytime soon.

pah this is really shocking! I also fear of buying one in Feb when there could be a price drop in March/April.
AAAHHHHRRRGH so frustrating!

I really dont see Ninty reducing the price of the Wii anytime in the next 6 months, unless you have heard otherwise! They have no reason to, firstly a lot of stores have back-orders going up to April and secondly the price is very cheap as it is (nearly 3 times cheaper than the PS3!!).
Expect a price drop and/or different colour Wii's ready for crimbo! :)
Even if they drop the price, it will be reduced to 149.99 for now and then probably 129.99 around xmas.
but like the person above said, why drop the price? as more people play it, more will want it.

Nintendo have no thoughts of dropping prices just yet. They do have plans to release the Wii in different colours, definately black. On top of that they are considering another Wii, with the ability to playback DVD movies. Until Sony and Microsoft start slashing their prices Nintendo will stand firm with theirs.

I would imagine a DVD compatable Wii in Black/Pink would be an excellent marketing plan to release in December, knowing Nintendo they would price this at the same price as the current Wii and then drop £20 or so off the price of standard Wii's. Kind of the same thing they did with DS/DS Lite.
