Have been in stock for the last 2 days. Ive held off ordering from them though since it wouldn't be playable out of the box, having a different plug and all

Heres the link: Amazon.de (http://wiifind.co.uk/buy/Amazon_de/3243.html)

Bought mine from amazon.de - alls you need is a 2 pin shaver adaptor - about £2 from any hardware store.

You may as well wait because the shops are getting Wii's in daily, the Toysrus near me always has them in. Your better of phoning your local store.

Amazon.de (http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0009PRCNE?ie=UTF8&tag=wiifind06-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1638&creative=6742&creativeASIN=B0009PRCNE[/url) has them in stock now.

If you are worried about buying from Germany then there are a lot of people on this site who have bought them with Amazon.de with no probelems whatsoever. The Wii is actually cheaper in Germany (£166.79) so when you figure in P&P you are actually paying the same price. Plus the interface is exactly the same as Amazon.co.uk so it's fairly easy to buy one from them.

If you click on the above link:

Click on "In Den Einkaufswagen (Add to Shopping Basket)". In this screen you can add any other items you may want for instance an extra controller or a nunchuk, just tick the box under the image. To finish the transaction click on Zur Hasse Gehen (Proceed to Checkout). Then login, with your Amazon details.

The only considerations is that you will need a plug adapter.

I was very nervous when ordering from Amazon.de just now, but I have to say it's very easy. Obviously, not all of us are too attached to the German language, so all it took for me was a Google German-To-English translator and I was away. I ordered just the original £179.99 deal, which on Amazon.de came to €246 (£167!). Including postage all the way from Germany, it came to JUST £169. It's just as efficient as AmazonUK and AmazonUS and it says it shall arrive by Monday. I am chuffed. All I need is a Euro Adaptor and that's it. £2-£3 from any electrical or hardware shop. Sorted.

Just posted this as a new topic, should have put it here really...

Recently ordered my Wii from Amazon.de, just couldn't wait any longer!!

A couple of days in and the order status still says not yet dispatched (in German). Although it says delivery between 21st Feb and 1st March.

I have read a few posts about them arriving within a week or so, my question is should I expect another e-mail from Amazon or for the order status to change to 'dispatched', or do they just turn up?

Would really appreciate comments from anyone else who has ordered from Amazon.de....

Shawyer, what day did you order yours, what is your order status showing?

I ordered yesterday and I'm in exactly the same boat as you. :(

Other than needing the plug converter is the machine exactly the same as in the UK. Eg are all the languages set to german or do they default to english. If they are in german can this be changed? Thanks

Wii Console - Multi language, apparently is defaulted to English first anyway.
Wii: Sports - Again, multi language. Not sure what it starts on though. I'm it'd just be common sense on how to find the language screen but I dunno.
The German Wii is PAL and Region 2, just like the UK.

Can anyone verify that? I've just ordered mine from Amazon.de as well (couldn't be bothered to wait around any longer) and the last thing i want is to open it all up and for it either be in German, or worse, not work at all :(

Anyone actually recieved their German-bought Wii's and played them?

I got this from another forum

"A big thanks for suggesting ordering from Amazon.de. I ordered on Sunday night and i got hear today (Thursday). I'm really impressed the quick service and the Wii.

The only thing extra you need is a two prong to three prong plug, the thing you use with a razor."

So obviously the language issue ...wasn't an issue.

:) yeah i read that too, felt decidedly more reassured, but no one has gone through the whole process yet - i.e No one has specifically stated anything about plugs/languages/games etc. Hopefully someone on this forum will respond :)

If everything goes to plan, mine should arrive early next week, so if you're patient enough (None of us are when it comes to Wii!) then I could inform you then 8)

Aye, mine will come around the same time - probably a day or two after yours so i guess i'll find out then :D but still, information would still be handy to calm the ol' nerves

Ive got a Dutch machine and games, it starts up in English and asks you to select country, once you select English the games wil default to English.
Its the same console for all PAL regions apart from the plug, the only time you will encounter a foreign language is if you download from another country setting you get the terms and conditions in the local language even if your settings are English.

From an archive of a forum. Hopefully, well it should be, the same as a German Wii.

I believe this will help you :)

Hi reading the thread a few peeps are asking about the difference if any of the german wii to the standard uk wii,i have the german wii and here are the following differences;

Biggest difference is the wii sports game included in the wii,the instructions are in german! not a big deal! just look at the pics! there just instructions on how to play each of the sports, the game itself is english which is important!

Instructions are in english ,just the booklet is bigger! (includes other languages aswell)english is the chapter.

As mentioned the power suppply cord is fitted with a two pin plug, just buy the uk adapter and your good to go!

outside of the box has a bit of german on,nothing to woory about.

So basically the Wii has a multi language manual, the Wii:Sports doesn't. The Wii itself is defaulted English and outside of the box is German. :D
