Hi, i got the Sony Bravia KDL-V32A12U LCD HDTV

I want to know if the Component cable will really make a difference to the picture quality. I dont want to buy the Wii and then find out i have 2 spend more cash on a component cable

I need to make sure

If anyone can point me in the right direction i'd be really grateful

yeah good question, because I've seen video reviews of zelda where the graphics look AMAZING. On my tv they look pretty ordinary, though.

LCD's don't handle games great at the moment. Plasma's are better, it's still worth getting a cable though.

That's a shame being as everyone is buying LCD tv's, has anyone tried the cable yet?

I have, Sony Bravia 40" LCD at 420p is worse than with my brothers 42" Plasma. The Plasma plays a lot nicer, you can still see a difference on an LCD but it's more obvious on a Plasma.

Is that with or without component cable?

I use a 27" LCD with a component cable and it makes enough difference to be worth buying. The edges are sharper, colours have better clarity and you can see more detail.

I have been toying with the idea of getting the cable. I have seen vids on youtube detailing the difference. I think i might get one this weekend afterall whats the point of having the TV if you dont use it to its full capacity???

I got the premium cable from amazon. I didnt think it was gonna be much of a change. I was wrong!!! I wouldnt say it made a vast difference like going to 720p with the 360, I was more than happy though.

I've just ordered a component cable today. It should hopefully arrive tomorrow so I'll post my findings when I've tried it out.
It'll be interesting to see what difference (if any)it makes to some of the fuzziness on games such as tiger woods.
I have a samsung 40" lcd hd tv.

ive got the very same samsung tv and it does make a difference ssx is fantastic  tiger woods to be honest seems to me to be slightly worse as everything is very defined, but the colours are better, overall well worth getting one if your tv has the connections

Hmm...i'm undecided on this one, but I presume I may have got a duff cable.
I plugged in the component lead into the back of the tv (5 coloured leads) altered the wii settings to hdmi etc....but when I play a game I get this annoying monor line scrolling on the screen. The graphics and colour seem slightly better but the line scrolling made it so annoying I put the old cables back in again.
Any experts got any reasons why this may be happening or I have got a poor quality lead (it isn't the official nintendo one).
cheers
