I remember reading somewhere theat you can send e-mails on the wii and each wii has its own e-mail address.

Is this true or have I dreamt it?!

Thanks,

FudgeGerty :)

Hi Fudge, thats totally true.....each Wii has its own number like mine below, you can find yours on your address book. If you added my Wii number to your address book and I add your Wii number in my address book, then you can send each other messages and pics....oh and Mii's. I still don't know why people want to send total strangers messages and pics for :?

Your Wii also has its own email address (so that you can add people to your address book that don't have a Wii). It looks something like:

w<your>@wii.com

e.g.

w1234567812345678@wii.com (made up email address!)

I think (though not certain) that you have to add someone to your address book before they can send you emails. It would make sense to do that to avoid getting your Wii spammed.

Has anyone actually got this to work....I tried it with my own email address and it didn't work

It does work iv done it when you add your email to the wii at some point you will get an email from your wii telling you to send an email bak if you want to accept and then wen u go on the wii the email will be there, and hemnce on from there.

Works a treat.
Set up an Email address on the wii. It then automatically sends a request to that Email address then the recipient replies to the wii.
Its as simple as that.

Just figured that I can only setup the email on Wii with my Hotmail address and not my Gmail one. Maybe Google ain't so wonderful after all
