Mine arrived on Saturday so now feel today is a good time to give my first real views on the Wii.
First off, it looks cool! The wife is impressed it's so small too.
Now whilst being underwhelmed by the graphics on display of WiiSports initially I was soon hooked.
After just a couple of games of Bowling I was completely sucked into the gameplay... it's just fantastic!
Soon I had completely forgotten that it isn't a huge graphical machine and was concentrating on trying to counter my natural wrist swinging causes me to bowl to the left all the time.
Having now played all the WiiSports games, I love them all! Even Baseball which I do find a bit tricky and thought I wouldn't like.
I've not even started on the games from WiiPlay yet and I'll be selling Wario Smooth moves (although the craziness of the remote use does endear me to it, i'm just not keen on this game) to get get Zelda or red Steel whilst waiting for Excite truck to come out.
Overall, it is WAY cooler than I expected. It looks cool on the adverts but the Wii is SERIOUSLY COOL :D

It's an amazing move on Nintendo's part not to get involved in the race for better graphics...and it's paid off, so many people are buying the Wii and an Xbox360 or PS3. The Wii has a huge potential market to sell to if those who don't normally play on consoles give the Wii a go, it's so addictive you can't help but love it.

The Wii hasn't got the best graphics around admittedly but when you see other games like Zelda or Red Steel, and then think this is a launch title, the Wii will still do very well graphically. It's not as feeble as people think.

I don't think kids would be interested if it wasn't for the remote....their more into the graphics normally because they want the realism. It's us older gamers who still care about gameplay and can be amused by simple things like the good old games in Virtual Console. Today generation missed out on the old days of owning a speccy or commodore before 3D graphics were even invented.

Not all of us young'ns missed out. I enjoyed the Commodore and the Amiga. By the way to this day I think the Amiga was the most amazing thing I EVER played on.

Its funny how we look back at the old days....the Amiga was like the greatest computer in the world that me and my mates would drool over because we couldn't afford one, but the graphics looked so amazing when compared to the speccies 48k memory and only 8 colours....arrrr them were the days

My mum and dad sold it to my school, I wasn't happy. That thing was hours of fun. Football was born with Sensible Soccer!

hey Rackerz, last year i got one of them megadrive pads with built in games, it had sensible soccer, cannon fodder and maybe a couple of others. Anyway i just found sensi had lost something being played on a dpad, you just wanna rip a joystick about to flick those lofted curling balls in the box. Hense dont play the game, but love the free t-shirt with sensible 92 on back and little pixel player on the front. Any one played that new sensi that came out on ps2 last year. Iwas exited they built a new one but not heard much buzz after its release.
