I have been checking Wiifind for weeks trying to steal a start on others to get a wii for my son's birthday. alas i could beat any of the other eager beavers out there to the crock of gold at the end of the rainbow.

So i asked at my local gamestation of the chances of getting my hands on a Wii. The guy told me to get on the pre order list as they had actaully supplied loads of them every saturday since Xmas. So i put name on the list last Saturday and i had a call yesterday that my Wii was in store awaiting collection. just picked it up todat £210 with Zelda. one week wait.

I live in Leigh Lancashire, so anyone locally to me get to gamestation in Leigh and place your order or even try your own gamestaion and ask how long thier waiting list is, as you never know your luck.

Unfortunately I can only finish work in the afternoon when they've already been snarfed up.

i did the same thing on the same =days lol got mine yday yes u choose them game and 20 pound deposit which is fully refundable

I know that the waiting list at the Leigh store only had 2 people on it last week. That also included me at number two.

i paid twenty quid deposit, then the balance today of £190.

Must admit i will miss the thrill of logging on each day then trying to hunt one down.

How much stock does Gamestation get on average? And when do they get it in?

they get in on fridyas ready for saturdays i think and it depends i think they get 20 or so but when i went they had 60 so i dno

The guy in gamestaion said that get varying amounts of stock each week. He reckoned they had sold 200 since xmas to clear thier pre order list.

Man, my local gamestation say if i put my pre-order in now, i should get it in 2-3 weeks!!! :o :o

wer u live lol they probs sayin that just to be sure that if they say a week an its 2 that they cantbe balmed or to make you think that there amazing as they got it in only 1 week lol it might just be a buisnees plot lol

Is the £20 refundable?
And is a parent or gaurdian neccessary 2 fill the form in? Might seem like a stupid question, but just to make sure 8)

erm ye fully refundable at any point (even 1 min after if you went next door and found one)if you have 3 days to collect you wii so sat to mon usually . erm you need to sign when you preorder it but apart from that no parent needed acceptto pay lol

Your Welcome Bill, all i have to do now is wait till my sons birthday on 2nd march before i can have a go.

Played one in the office a few weeks ago and the IT Helpdesk ground to a halt. Even our Manager was playing it with us.

So my son was advised that he desperately needed one for his birthday.

One thing i forgot 2 ask the cashier;
If i dont pick up the phone when they phone me, does that mean they'll give it to the next person on the list straight away, or will they hold onto it 4 me for the rest of the day?

Hi Mate,

They will hold it for three days, but i am sure if you contact them to see if it is in store ready for collection they should keep it for you.

They tried to ring me Saturday and couldn't get hold of me cos i had just changed my mobile provider. so on the sunday i went in and asked if they had tried to ring me and the guy said he had and my Wii was waiting for me in the back.

Imagine that a Wii actually waiting for me for a change.

Apparently Im 7th on the list

Hopefully thats a good thing, and hopefully the next batch has enough Wii's and hopfully Gamestation get it soon
