ooh ive got loads of games, but my favourite has to be a disk which has zelda 1, zelda 2, ocarina of time, majoras mask, a movie documenting every zelda game to date, a movie documenting wind waker...and a 20min preview of wind waker. this disk is one of my favourites. i got it free when i got the gamecube/mario kart bundle

Yeah i loved fighting ganadorf on the master quest version, especially with the bigarons sword, reflecting those balls of magic. Very fun!
i love doing the reflecting bit!! phantom ganon aswell lol, and in windwaker outside the forsaken fortress on your second visit, the enemy that appears then u have to reflect aswell, i love it

i like the fact that in wind waker you can pick up swords. In one section you even have to smash a wall down that rocks.
lol yh the ability to pick up other peoples weapons was a bonus, but i feel you should have been able to take them through doors

yeah if you could have like a weapon bag that would of been better, alot better, from the way they made it sound when it was reviewed/previewed it was almost like you could use it instead of your master sword.
hmm i never read reviews when that game was due to release, i wonder if you can pick up weapns this time,, it hasnt been mentioned int he hundreds of reviews ive seen or read about TP

i have 11-15 games for the nintendo gamecube, i found that a lot of games on there did not really have much hype behind them, those that did (mainly the ones i own) really did meet expectations to a high, they are very very good and love the ones i have, in fact i don't think there are any better games for the gc than what i have

I never had a Game-cube but I started collecting games when I got my Wii. Its like movies and music, there's always some classic to catch up on that you missed, while your waiting on new releases.
First I got NHL Hitz 2002 for some violent multiplayer sports action, but I'll trade it in now I have Mario Football.
I got SSB but I didn't enjoy it as much as the N64 version so it went back. (come on VC!)
I got Resident Evil 4, I'm about halfway through and it's already in my top ten games ever!
I got Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door last week, for me, I prefer it to Zelda TP even though the two are hard to compare. I haven't seen graphics quite so clean and sharp on the Wii before, even if its off a Game-cube disk!
I have just got 4 games for £10 out of the small ads. Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Metroid Prime and Pikmin. I pick them up at the w/end but I think they could distract me from Resi4 and paper Mario, so might bury them in a drawer for a coupla months.
Any suggestions for best multiplayer or best race car game?

Cool thread to resurrect because I never owned a GC either and at the weekend I was given Resident Evil, but I have to get a controller before I can play it:(
Anyone care to name their top 5 GC games of all time?

Top five eh?
Tales of Symphonia
Resident Evil 4
Super Smash Bros Melee
Paper Mario
Zelda - Wind Waker
Wii Spark

Can we have the poll changed to show "0 games owned" as I never had a GC.:(
But now with the Wii I might be interested in some games if I can get hold of any.
Majority of stores don't seem to stock any, I did see a few on sale in Game but didn't get round to looking thoroughly at them. (GF was in a rush to get back home for the start of her shift)
Has anybody any recommendations?

Cool, cheers tom. I know nothing about Tales of Symphonia, is it a RPG like FF or is it more adventure like Zelda?

It's like an RPG, bit of zelda and bit of FF i'd say, theres puzzles, magic, swords, 8 characters, hidden unlockables difficult to see in the first playthrough, random battles and it's massive. I'd definately recommend it to anyone, very fun. Great storyline, gameplay, music and great ending.

That's very true, game prices have soared recently in the shops. Games that cost a tenner a few months back have doubled in price. I've seen a copy of Chibi Robo going for 50 quid, and Animal Crossing is still priced around £20-30. There are bargains, but you've really gotta search.

I thought I'd check out CEX website because I've never heard of them. What a great place! I've ordered Luigi's Mansion and Metroid Prime 2 for £8 each and they have already been dispatched.
BTW, anyone else notice how its almost impossible to get hold of a NEW original Nintendo GC controller....there almost extinct. You would of thought Nintendo would continue selling Wii compatible accessories, especially as theres new found interest in GC games and the VC games that use the GC controller.

It often makes me laugh at the ridiculous costs some distributors charge for old(er) games. Zelda for the gamecube is over £40 on Amazon and elsewhere can be even more expensive, despite it's wii counterpart selling for £15 cheaper. In my neverending hunt for bargains i've just stumbled upon Chibi Robo where (a Play.com distributor) is offering the game for £50. Why?
Possibly some buyers are too indolent to comparatively buy, but at the expense of this they are being suckered into paying over the odds for rare gems such as Chibi Robo. Strange also that Play.com are selling the game directly for £35.
My worrying conclusion is: That i may be turning into David Dickinson.

It appears there is a big market for GC games, probably bigger now than when the GC was in its prime (if it ever had one). This is pushed the GC game prices up as we all hope to get our hands on a bargain. I have a list of GC games I'm after but I'm not spending more than £10 on them so I'm looking at picking up second hand bargains.
Munkle, have you got the dodgy tan yet? rofl

lol!! Too right, and I talk through my nose. Just need to poise the glasses right on the end of my nose ... yep, sorted!!! lol!!
To be honest there are some real bargains to be found too. I have bought 3 gamecube games lately on ebay (XIII/Metroid Prime and Burnout) and it's cost me about 7 quid altogether, and if I win the original Sims game that'll go up to 9 quid, 4 games for under a tenner? Can't complain.
You've just got to be a good bargain hunter, peeps!!

One great thing about consoles nowadays is there backwards compatibility, much underrated. I'm playing through a slug of cheap Gamecube games at the mo consisting of:
Zelda: The Wind Waker
Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour
Starfox Adventures
Batallion Wars
Eternal Darkness
Donkey Konga
F-Zero GX
Super Mario Sunshine
007 Nightfire (I know its gash but it was £1.50)
I only bought a Gamecube so I could play MarioKart. I had a few other games, including Mario Sunshine. The first time I played the game I was so unequivocally rubbish that I couldn't catch the blue imposter Mario right at the start. Luckily I got a bit better eventually...
i got 25 Gc games myself so i'll just make a top something
1 -Smash bros melee. Still played atleast 4 times a week.
2- Zelda the Wind Waker
3- Paper Mario
4- Tales of Symponia
5- Mario sunshine
6- Mario kart
7- Metroid Prime
8- Skies of Arcadia legends
9- Metroid prime 2
- Mis boughts -
The sims... and 007 agent underfire.

GC games are still fetching a good price especially games like Tales of Symponia, but I'm keen to get a little collection of the top games which are still brilliant fun and the graphics are the same as the Wii's...almost.

Just completed Resi Evil again on GC. Must have been through it a dozen times and still love it. There were even things happening that I never noticed before. In a way I think the atmosphere of building tension is superior to the all-out soil-your-pants-whilst-running-for-your-life of Resi 4 (though I do love that game). And the graphics are just beautiful. If only all games were as polished and lovingly designed.
Think I may order Resi Zero. Another corker.

The iPhone more stable when shooting (works with the default camera app): Not only the triggers that will cause a movement. Instead tap it, and keep your finger on the button. Then leave it to the photo trigger while creating less movement. DVD to iPad Converter for Mac (http://www.topdvdtoipad.com/dvd-to-ipad-mac.html/) I was wondering if anyone knows how it works with Keynote. This is one case where I would not necessarily lead to "mirror" wants, but would like to send the presentation screen through AirPlay.Thanks.

How is it theft? The service is paid for, what difference does it make what device was used to access the service. That'd be like the cable company charging you per TV in your house. If anything, multiple surcharges for the sane service is illegal. That said, AT&T does reserve the right per the user agreement to charge for enabling tethering. But really there is no legal backing to support their double tariff practices. transfer music from ipod to mac (http://www.transfermusicfromipodtomac.com/) You can, to my knowledge without a SIM card is the free nutzen.Nur just so that you just can not make calls or anywhere on the Internet.

I'm an iPhone user, which is also a fashion designer ...and that's the terrible thing I've ever seen.I know that it works over form ...but they can at least try to make it look nice.It looks like a Teletubby in a bike race. dvd to ipad (http://www.topdvdtoipad.com/) I've used the iPhone for a long time, and in the Bay Area (CA) there are very few places I lose signal, none of them being large buildings. I now carry a work issue VZW Droid Incredible as well, and while coverage is better in more remote areas, overall call quality, and in building (skyscraper) reception has been terrible. I personally much prefer AT&T, not only for their call quality, and the iPhone, but also because 90% of my family and friends use it across the country. Most of them are very satisfied iPhone users a well.I've read the painful carrier reports on AT&T service in San Francisco time and time again, yet on my many trips I have never experienced any reception or usage issues. My friends that live there have no problems either. I personally have difficulty taking part in, or believing, the reports that rate AT&T service so poorly. I understand people experience different things in different areas, but my iPhone is apparently magical. Anyway, my feet are starting to hurt on this soapbox. I couldn't care less if Verizon gets the iPhone. I think more people will be disappointed than not when the device doesn't meet their absurd expectations on a new carrier.

No, no, no! Why are we even talking about jailbreaking? There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to do that to the iPhone! Why can't you people understand that this device is supposed to be this way? Did it ever occur to you that there are very, very good reasons for your precious "functionality" not to be included yet? Don't you think the people at Apple (who are without a doubt smarter than the jailbreak community) have thought of all of this and have decided it was a better idea not to include it? This isn't some craptacular Android POS that needs mucking and muddling to make it work (and badly at that). This is the iPhone! convert avi to mpeg4 (http://www.avitompeg4.net/) If it is true that life was to show some dude sitting on the toilet reading the newspaper every morning on his iPhone ....as that is what I do .. lolAlso, they would have a little girl in sticky fingerprints on the screen while watching cartoons ...that's what makes my daughter :-) Just Keeping It Real people Haaaa!

I suppose if the rest of society is collapsing, Nokia will still keep the patent sales afloat. iPad 2 DVD Ripper (http://www.dvd-to-ipad2.net/) Just to clear up a few things for the folks that haven't used this before:1) you only share your location with the people you wish to share with 2) you can adjust, per user, how detailed your location will be (street level, city level, or manually entered) 3) even with street level selected, it doesn't update very often, anywhere from about 15 minutes to one hour between updates 4) it doesn't show any history, it only shows your last known location and someone would have to watching it constantly to see where you have beenBeing able to manually enter a location could be handy IF you were trying to throw someone off of your trail, hint hint.
