Yep basically the same thing. Have just had a argument with the guy at woolies online. They advertised them as in stock on Friday night but did not actually have any. They were expecting their suplier to gety some in on saturday but they never arrived. They are now hoping to get stock later this week to fulfill our orders but cant guarantee it.

Friday Afternoon - Delivered by parcelforce.

Woolworths seem to be getting regular shipments, so I doubt you will be on backorder for long.

Basically woolies customer services are crap - they don't know what they're doing.

I had the same problems last week, but there's people on here that ordered last wed/thur, that have now had their woolies wii's delivered.

I'm not sure that's the case - otherwise they wouldn't bother saying out of stock most of the time on their website.

Their online order status system is admittedly appalling though - I shan't be using it again anytime soon! At least I appear to have actually got a Wii out of it though (according to parcelforce at least) - and I didn't have to take one of these OTT bundles that other retailers seem to be insisting on selling their stock with.

You may as well take a chance though - if your order doesn't progress as quickly as you would like then simply cancel it.

I would advise anybody looking to get hold of a Wii sooner rather than later to register on that website (http://uk.nowinstock.net/wii/index.php). I was also online today when an email alert came through to my messenger telling me woolies had them available.. and i was quick onto it!

I also put a pre-order (for £20) in at my local gamestation earlier today (on the advice of others in this forum) but will just see who will supply me first since I can cancel and get my money back on either of them .

In the meantime I sit and wait (but not yet Wii).........

We ordered our Wii on Friday from Woolies and or order has only recently turned to 'Back Order or Pre Release'
Just thought that i would warn all you guys out there that i had a really disturbing phone call from their customer service department saying that due to such a high amount of orders we are looking at the middle to the end of feb before we get ours. Even though our order says that it will be with us tomorrow the 30th. This sucks!
Better than Play.com though we ordered one through them too on thursday and they have said that it can take upto 3 months!

Just to confirm. Ordered mine ~16:00 Monday. It spent a day waiting "security check" until I phoned them and checked up on it and it went to "back order"

Today it went through billing and has been fulfilled, which apparently means the supplier has confirmed its been shipped.

So from ordering to shipping has been 2 days. Great stuff.

Processing. Well that could mean several things. Processing your card or processing the console. You should have got an email from Wollies yesterday when you ordered it. There's a reference number on it. If you're still concerned, then you could always ring them up quoting the ref number.
Just be patient. I've ordered stuff from other places (Play.com) and I've received the goods and my satus on my account page was still on 'order taken'

Strangely.. When I hover over the Processing link the URL contains solStatus=DELTOSTORE so thats probably why it changed because it is heading to the store for my pickup.

I'm a bit anxious about the in store pickup, I doubt anyone who works there knows what the internet is let alone what to do with an order off it :P

Didnt get an email as the woolies website said I would but instead I got a nice text message on my mobile saying it was in-store ready to be picked up.

Went down, picked it up (printed out email instead of driving licence..no problem! :shock:) and have pretty much played Wii Sports all night :) Tennis rules.

As expected, comes with Wii sports, Nunchuk and Controller.

So there we go, the instore pickup worked well and quite impressed all round by Woolies.

My friend asked about Wii stock in Woolworths on Sunday, and he was told that they were getting a big batch in this week, and they were going to be sold online rather than in stores. Couldn't be more specific than this week unfortunately, so check regularly!
