I ordered from him but cancelled in the end.
Personally I would have to be suspicious of someone on ebay with 38 items of stock, at near normal price and "Imported" (?)
No thanks.
And anyway, ebay sucks, I would rather go without than buy from the scum on ebay. Here are some more scumbags (multiple Wii's at once on ebay!)
4 items from amazon:

I would agree...
Wii's are coming into stock, so if I were you I would stay glued to this forum for new items from somewhere like Gamestation. Who's to say if you get the wii from that fella and it breaks within a week - will you have a proper guarantee? I doubt it.
Sorry to sound sceptical, but I've had my fair share of woes with ebay, the most recent being the first wii I ordered not turning up. The guy I bought it from took my £15 p&p and actually posted it for £2.70 (if that's even possible). He even told me in an email that's how he makes extra money on an item. Consequently it never turned up and I was out of pocket until PayPal Buyer Protection kicked in and I got my money back.
Tip: if you do buy from ebay and intend to pay with PayPal, look for the little blue shield with a P in it on the auction (top right under seller's details). If you buy from an auction on ebay and use PayPal, but the auction doesn't have the little blue shield, then in the event of the item not turning up PayPal will only try - to get your money back for you. If the seller has cleared out their PayPal account, you're screwed.. With the little blue shield you are covered by PayPal.
Even better, if you do use PayPal, use your credit card with it. That way, in the event of PayPal not refunding you, you can contact your credit card company who will take the matter up with PayPal. Whatever you do, make sure you read the rules before opening any claim, and provide as much information as possible - emails etc.

Looks like I am the mug...
This dude has taken 200 quid off a lot of people and then de-registered. I am included in the 200 quid lot, ergo I am selling the Wii I managed to buy from Toys R Us.
For many people, including me, 200 quid is a lot of cash, and I although we may say 'lesson leant' and 'I told you so'... the guy had over 470 positive feedbacks on eBay... surely thats trustworthy????
My only advice is to stick to retail... so you have to wait until march... oh well it could be worse... you could be 200 quid out of pocket and having to sell your Wii.
I am hoping PayPal does what it says on the tin. If anybody has had a simillar experience and had to claim... or even better if others have been done by this ******, please post.

I tried buying from this ****** on ebay as well. Fortunately his Paypal account refused to accept my money (for reasons I still haven't figured out), and I told him I wouldn't pay any other way.
Hope you manage to get your money back through Paypal.

I'm so sorry to hear that, I looked at that eBay seller and was a bit suspicious, but it was pretty tempting. Some people are just absolute ***** though, and sadly theres a lot on eBay (and Amazon). I hope PayPal help, in my experience they have been helpful so keep your hopes up...

Cheers guys, your support is much appreciated.
The really annoying thing is that I managed to get one from Toys R Us. I havent opened it and will take it back now to cover cost unless somebody from the forum wants to buy it....
rubbish!!!
I hope somebody shoved a WiiMote up the *******s ****!

I had a similar experience on ebay years ago i contacted the police (who were sceptical at first ) and they eventually tracked the guy down, it turned out he was a foreign gentlemen who was making many thousands of pounds a week scamming people from ebay. Needless to say when they tried to collar him he did a runner out of the country  but it put paid to his nice earner. Also contact the bank and report the fraud you might be surprised, i did and got all my money back(i paid by cheque). You never know always worth a try. Oh you may also find that paypal are useless in recovering your money, if hes closed his account they have no way of snatching it back  and you know they won't be out of pocket  but still worth a try though good luck

I got done for a £15 dvd before and my friend got done over an ipod, you can claim after one week I think (supposedly you are meant to have time to contact them etcetc). I eventually got my cash back, but I think paypal need to be able to make a negative transaction on their credit card etc else ur stuck...
If its a serial scammer -> eek! :(

This guy had overf 470 positive feedback and paypal protection... surely paypal protection does what it says on the tin???
Because its paypal prtected (showing the blue shield) you should be able to get your money back regardless of whether he has funds in his paypal account. It comes from wherever he funds his account from or paypal are insured against it. It might take a while but because its got the blue shield you should be fine. Have you started the claim yet?
Has anyone tried contacting them?

Thanks for the response Ben, I feel a little better now...
I have tried to contact, but they have clearly 'done one'...
I started my claim the second I saw a neg feedback on the site, I immediatly escalated it as well..
Paypal is stating 'awaiting sellers response'... like me I think they could be 'awaiting a while'.
Rolfeuk.
PS... The spare Wii I got from Toys R Us goes back saturday unless someboday wants it (no profit wanted)... rolfeuk@aol.com or 07855768046 (Ben)
