HI I just found it on play.com and came on here to tell everyone but someones already beaten me to it! It was still in stock (hopefully) when I ordered at 8.50am

last time they came into stock at play it was a mistake..when play recieve there stock even for back orders they have to put in on there system for the back order to be completed and sent as soon as they accept the stock it shows on there system as available thats probably why they chose 2:30 am... hope they recieved a large amount and everyone who is still waitin gets theres but i Just checked my order from 16TH jan still says order placed...i would'nt stop lookin cos ya think ya got one..

We're sorry that the delay was not obvious when you placed the order
on the website. Whenever we receive new stock of the console, and it
is booked into our warehouse, the website automatically updates to
reflect that we have stock of the item. However this stock is then
automatically allocated to the pre-orders, and the website will update
once again to show that the item is sold out.

What a crap system....

My respect for Play has seriously diminished with the whole Wii thing. A friend of mine ordered one in October and I heard just now (after checking) she still hasn't got it, so don't hold much hope that new orders today will be fulfilled.

When did you get that email?

Just talked to their customer support on the phone, she said they STILL have Pre-orders going way back to September, and it won't be anytime soon before current orders are dispatched.

Just cancelled my order, because i'll probably get one sooner elsewhere.

Just spoken to Play.... god they suck, last time I buy anything from them...

As explained by the other posts their stock system isnt up to much and will allow sales when any new stock comes in without linking to existing pre-orders.

He said the error was only for about 15 minutes this morning, which is bull as I see peole were ordering througout the nite.

He did say that if your order status doesnt change from order taken to packing, etc within a couple of hours then you will not be getting any in this bacth... so it may be worth hanginh on until lunchtime before cancelling.
