arrrrrghhh i hate routers especially wireless but they are handy. i have a netgear one atm connected to like 2 Pc's and my DS which will connect to my wii soon. well for starters i would say have you had a look at the aol deals? like free wireless router £14.99 a month offer? you'd need to set it up for WPA access or free wireless access with no key. i would not recommend this though tbh as people can use your internet for free and hack in to see your banks statement or things like that if you do internet banking.
About ur PC yes you would need a network card i think not too expensive and easy to insert into a PC i think it's just like adding a hard drive or very similar to it.
just to help anyone else who ins't too sure about routers wireless or not. i found a link that i found pritty useful and easy to understand.
am i right that the wii scans the area for any internet it can find (i.e. your router or USB in your computer)?
basicaly means all i need is a router, unless i want to connect another computer to it, in which case i need to put a network card into the computer
.
Q. What hardware is required to build a wireless network?
http://compnetworking.about.com/cs/wireless/f/wirelesshardwar.htm
then for general facts about routers

hope this helps anyone inc me
i have a netgear one lol, i like it
sorry for this late piece of info found it when looking at routers (gettin one for xmas yey) a link that lets you choose what type of connection you have into your house. then it lets you choose speeds, very easy to use (is a netgear UK site) http://www.netgear.co.uk/routers_broadband_modem.php
hope it helps anyone like me.

Before you buy a router I'd suggest checking out whether it will work with the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection.
I used to have a 3com router but I couldn't get the wi-fi connection on the DS to work with it. Eventually I got fed up and decided to buy a new one - the Official Nintendo Magazine recommended routers by Buffalo as being designed with the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection specifically in mind. Got one of those and both the DS and Wii work a treat with it!

Read this article
http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2006/12/08/review_nintendo_wii/page4.html
and am now worried that my Sky Broadband wireless router won't work with the Wii (different frequency!?!?!) :(
be gutted if it didn't. If not, is there anything I could do to match them up?
on ninty website it says that wii is compatable with both 802.11G/ 802.11B (or mixed). so should be too hard to find a router, why would your sky router not work? (whats it's specs?)

Yeah it should be ok, so that guy claims that wii can't pick up b and g but yet the nintendo website states that it can. I think that either he's messed up his router or wii, or he's telling porkies lol.

Yeah the data encryption key, WEP or WPA or open etc. Obviously no Pword for an open one.

"would need WPA or open access though mainly because DS only can use them and it's the same with the wii it cannot use WEP key's"
Mine is set up on a WEP key as I am on an Orange Livebox.

Actually wii can use WPA and WEP. Check wikipedia.com if you like heres the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii , thankfully they changed it for wii because DS was annoying not picking up both types.

Why did you give me a link to something I already know???
I was stating that my Wii is set up on WEP with my livebox, your earlier post said that the Wii didnt allow WEP!!!!

Sad part is, teachers would still allow me to use my phone in class, they always assume you SMS dvd ripper mac (http://www.freedvdrippermac.com/) iOS 5 also widgets and revised reporting system .. I should get the new iPhone or SGS 2 .. (I'll get ipad 2), and hold the iPhone 5 (4s), the SGS 2 to the beat IOS 5? do you think the user interface of the new iPhone will be better than the SGS 2?

Don't kill me but I'm still IOS 4.0.1 for 3GS. It's been working great but now I'm ready to update and jailbreak. Can anyone help and let me know the best way to perform this jailbreak? Can i just do a reg update through iTunes and then do the redsn0w jailbreak? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. convert m4v to mpeg (http://www.m4vtomp4.com/) Here's MY problem with that scenario, how many times will you or I be able to re-sync to the cloud before data caps kick in? Due to my iPhone 3G dying in april last year, and me not wanting to "upgrade" to a 3GS, I lost my unlimited data. It's ok, I almost never come close to 2GB in a month, but if I sync music thru the cloud I could easily run up several hundred dollars in overages with my 16Gb iPhone 4. Now add in a couple 500Mb os updates Dim

Man, the first paragraph of this article ends with a decidedly un-journalistic statement. "AT&T plans to focus its ads on the fact they say their network has faster 3G speeds and overall performs better than Verizon's network (not sure who they are fooling with that!)."Not very professional and simply based on your opinion. very simply, the complainers (who may legitimately have issues with reception and dropped calls) are a tiny minority compared to the rest of the millions of iPhone users who are really happy with the iPhone and its performance on AT&T.I personally live in Portland OR, where both networks have comparable coverage, but where the AT&T 3G network is noticeably faster than that of Verizon. Dropped calls and connection issues just aren't significant issues for anyone that I know that owns an iPhone. quicktime to wmv converter (http://www.quicktimetowmv.com/) I think it is pretty clear we Verizon iPhone users will not be getting iOS 4.3 (although we only have room for one more update). I have to assume that we get iOS 5 to unify the line. I was an early complainer, but come to terms with it. I do want the Home Sharing and Apple TV support, but other than that, we aren't that far off.

Network. Although I do hate T-Mobile for their '4G' commercials (at least what they call 4G). burn avi to dvd (http://www.burn-avi-to-dvd.com/) Kind of looks like Verizon, AT&T, and Apple are all in bed together, to me! Apple gets a major boost in iPhone 4 sales, AT&T gets a major boost from ETF, and also they get a feel for just how bad they are likely to be hit in June. Want to bet that if a significant number jump ship to Verizon, that Verizon will NOT be getting the iPhone 5 in June? My crystal ball says the iPhone 5 like the iPhone 4 will be either a GSM device or a CDMA device but not both, apple will profit from those who jump ship. This will also effectively divide the hacker community making jailbreaks take longer as they have now effectively doubled the cost and time to break an iPhone.I think looking back in a year the community will be disappointed at how little it has actually gained.

Where some of us are developers and should be tested with the operating system, others have managed to torrent a copy or bought their way in, thinking of her always install the latest quality and then find out that nothing is compatible. Well no **** ... These people will automatically assume it is a problem with the app. It is simply ridiculous. So, to answer your question had written this, because it may have happened. convert dvd to ipad (http://www.topdvdtoipad.com/) Rene, you changed the heading, but the text in the body still says Thursday Arp, 27..
