have been closely watching here for about a week and really appreciate everyone here contributing their info of wii stock. no luck for me so far from last weekend in london.
I work in central london and asked around charing cross/holborn area on Thursday and Friday no store has it. a staff in dixons told me no chance until March probably and they couldn't get anything and suggested to have a look at game or gamestation. argos is absolutely no and the kindly staff checked about 10 stores near holborn for me but still no and he said probably March.
I also today phoned all game and gamestation stored around where I live which is the border of lewisham and bromley. 5 stores all said no and both gamestation asked about pre-order and it looks like they have a long queue to clear up and no chance for people pop in and buy one. one game store told me they have had wii delivery last 3 saturdays in a row and they expected it today but unfortunately not. interestingly they (3 game stores) all suggested there may be another delivery on Tuesday but not sure about that so better call that morning. they don't take pre-order so you may stand chance get on and they may even be able to reserve one for you if you can be there in say an hour.
I then went to lewisham high street to try my luck, argos still no but a checkout staff told me can try Wednesday. woolworths also no stock and they are quite negative about restocking by the end of this month.
all in all I'd say put my hope on high street game store and if they have one delivery that may be 30-40 and should last for a day. argos may have some but in london it's very very unlikely I'd say.
