Argos Question

I am in the unfortunate position that I can only get a Wii from Argos because I've got a £150 voucher which I'll be using. I've been checking stock on-line for about 3 weeks and it always says not available for reservation. How have other Argos purchasees gone about getting their Wii ??

call any stores near you and see if they have any in stock if they do asked for them to hold it for you until you can pick it up.

I rung the Manchester Arndale store, and they kindly checked all the other Argos stores in the area.

I visited the Argos at Cheshire Oaks, keyed in the number on the stock checker and got the message, not available please see staff to reserve this item as oppose to out of stock. I did not do this as I was short of time but they know what they are getting into stock the day before it arrives, in store you can order items if you time it right

Also in leeds - they havn't had stock for ages.

I rang today and appanlty the castleford warehouse has ALOT, will all be in stock on monday.

You can call the store direct to check stock and ask them to reserve. The telephone number for each store starts as follows:

0845 1657 *** The last 3 digits are made up of the store number. But you will have to wait for the store to open, for someone to pick up the phone and by that time someone in the store could have taken the stock.

Forget trying to reserve online - it's a non starter. :x

I was successful in reserving on the automated telephone number 0870 600 1010. I rang 07.10 on a Saturday morning, trying each store in my area and got lucky with a small store and was able to reserve and collect at 09.00 when it opened.

As each store gets it delivery it is booked on to their system and becomes in stock, maybe you could ask in your local store for the average sort of time it arrives each day. I tried all hours of the day and night and thankfully got lucky 2 weeks ago. :D

I'm furious.. I just found one in Otley legged it down there for 9am and someone had reserved it.. Can't believe it... lesson learnt, ring the store first people

If the check and reserve number says you can't reserve but it is available in store this means that those they've got have been reserved. So in other word its out of stock. If its reallyin stock and availabl it will give you the chance to reserve it.

YES reserved one at the argos in camden one of only 2 argos in london that have them! if your in london u might still be able to reserve one!

Mine is reserved until WEDNESDAY, going to get it now

Every morning phone argos and get them to do a stock check for your area i guarantee you'll get one eventually i got one on my first try!

i went down to argos today and they were out of stock, but it had delivery info and said '6 in monday 22nd please go to the till to reserve this item', so i did! this was a smallish store so id expect bigger stores to have the same sort of thing! i had foned up the store and was told they were out of stock, i think they best thing to do if you can is to be outside the shop when it opens
