some of you may have noticed a little plasticy slip in the case of your NINTENDO (only) games, and one paper one in your wii, (found mine with all the instraction manual stuff).

if you sign into this nintendo site with your codes for your games (you can put in more than one game) you will recireve some stars.
when you sign in, you will do so as a VIP because they think your special because you have bought one of their wii's. for just doing this you will recieve 200 stars, then with each game you will also recieve 250 stars. you can also gain 5 stars by loging in every day. for putting the code in the recieved in your wii box you will get 500 stars! woop :shock: !
this website will show you free info on upcoming nintendo games, videos, screenshots, pics articles, etc.

the stars let you either buy wallpapers, nintendo ring tone, and stuff, but thats not really why i'm telling you this. you can use your stars to download your VC games.

so if your like me and don't really want to pay £15 on a card that lets you play good old games, you can get them free by buying your wii games. also you can get more stars buy buying your VC through that website.

i'v got 1,475 stars from just wii play, sports, zelda and my wii.

here is where i need some help. as i don't yet have my wii online (it'l be on 19th). try going onto it online on your wii to see if the download of VC works by using the stars works yet. i looked around on the PC site and it only tells you, that it can be done, but doesn't show you any games.

I've put all my points on the VIP site however i heard that coveting stars to points is not available yet?

I will type in the address on my wii internet broswer to see what comes up.

Well at the moment converting stars to wii points (which download VC games) doesnt seem to be available at the moment however Nintendo did state of various websites that this would be available soon.

You can get stars from Zelda and wii sports but not red steel for some reason. i think its about 250 for each but you can also get 500 stars from your actuall Wii console.

ye i just found this "Purchasing of Wii Points in the Stars Catalogue will be available at a later date.", from ninty website http://wiiportal.nintendo-europe.com/30.html explains about wii stars and that you will be able to exchange them for points later on.

If you hold onto them a liitle while your soon be able to trade them in for Wii Points that you can spend in the Virtual Console.

Unfortunately each code is unique to that one game....all thats left to do is cry :cry:

I haven't heard or seen anything yet, nintendo keep saying that it won't be too long until the conversion comes out but i hope it's soon, they're probably trying to make sure it's not too easy to get lot's of games. Because some people will have a huge amount of points stored up.

James-vivian i have 2400 just sitting there on nintendo-europe just doing nothing. I'll try find out about when he coversion will be available but im certain Nintendo haven't gave a date for this to start.

I'm really looking forward to getting points from stars though, its a really good idea, although someone told me the conversion rate is pretty crap. - but will see.
