For those of you who have already used many a battery with your wii there is a solution to constantly buying batteries.

http://gear.ign.com/articles/754/754179p1.html

It's a charger for you wii remote, looks pretty cool i'll probably get one because otherwise it'll cost loads through batteries.

Enjoy

Thanks for finding this budtom i didnt even know this was even available to buy.

I'm thinking about buying this actually but at the moment im using Re-chargerble batteries and then charging them up when the power is low and this seems to save me alot of money.

When you read the remote instructions it says to only use alkaline batteries but these chargers supply nickel metal hydride batteries to use. Probably still safe to use but just a thought.

just found a wiimote charging station for £19.99, not released for another month, looks really handy though,
http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/productpage.asp?productcode=NW0073&refid=froogle
one problem tht i can see, the charging station has no groove cut out for the wiimote strap, this could be a pain having to take the strap off every time you wanted to charge the batteries!!

these wii's are getting bloody expensive. £180 for the console (which is cheap) but then to get 4 controllers (£25-30 each) = £100-£120 then add nunchucks on (£15 each) £60, and 4 charging stations (one for each wiimote) £80.

we are talking

£180 for the console

£240 - 260 for controllers!

have not even taken the hd cables into it. Am very suprised at how much this console is consting considering the orginial price was so attractive.

remember, you will only need one charger for the remotes! it's not as if all of your wiimotes will run out at the same time.

then again, you will need to buy the battery and cover for each remote, unless you can get one docking station with 4 batteries

Why not use normal rechargeable batteries? Do they recommend alkaline only so people will buy their charging station (when it's available)?
