I think it may not have tracking info because we aren't in Germany. The UK website probably couldnt help, but maybe emailing the german one in english will be replied to in english.

I ordered my wii from the German Amazon on the 10th and amazon.de just says that it arrived at Leipzig on the 11th. I have tried to track the package on DHL.de and .co.uk and the code doesnt seem to work. So i guess that i am having the sam problems as everyone else! I guess it will probably just turn up one day.

I don't think they were really sent by DHL. If you go to the German DHL site, it also says Deutsche Post (German Post). I believe the consoles were sent by normal German post therefore there is no tracking for them except for when they left the warehouse. I am also wiating for them.

Yeah they are very quick and reliable. My guess is that the consoles are already in the UK.

I think they just sent them by normal mail, therefore that number they gave us in not really for tracking the number online but just a number they get when they ship stuff just for reference.

The machine is identical, the plug being the only difference.

Adapters are about a quid in Maplins or somewhere like that, or you can just chop the plug off and whack a UK one on there. Simple as that, they're actually cheaper from Amazon.de aswell.

I ordered one from Amazon.de, and it still has not arrived. I ordered it last Wednesday night. I hate the fact of not knowing where it is and if someone has robbed it on me. I'm from Liverpool, so I guess it may take a little longer, but still it worries me. Ideally it would be great if someone should inform us of delivery times and other such info. I wouldn't overly worry about it - it's amazon and even though its the german version, they are still a highly respected company. If you go to amazon.de and click on "mein konto", and then "Los" next to the drop down box it should give you your order, and an expected delivery date.

I guess, but that doesn't mean the couriers are always professional. I've heard many a story were people have had their sigs forged and other such stuff as that. These days you cannot trust anyone lol.

Forgot to pick up a plug adaptor from work at the weekend though so I'm kind of hoping it turns up tomorrow when I'm in all day. Can anyone confirm that a regular shaver adaptor plug (like this? http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?TabID=1&criteria=adaptor&ModuleNo=1186&doy=15m1) works with a Wii, I'm just worried about the 1amp rating on those plugs?

1 amp probably isn't big enough and those plugs take a smaller fuse than a standard plug. Chopping the 2 pin plug off and fitting a standard uk plug is another option but you'll probably invalidate the warranty if you do. Your best bet is to get a Euro travel plug which has a beefier fuse in it than a standard shaver plug.

Cheers, I'll play it safe and get a proper adaptor for now, costs a bit more but whatever. At some point I might ask one of my mates to do the plug for me, I'm rubbish at that type of thing. Getting excited! ^^

I bought a visitor to UK plug at the weekend, wich has a 13 amp fuse, so i'm hoping that is enough for it. It says it works with Germany, Asia and America so it should be all good. It cost £5.99 from Argos so I think it's worth it. :)

I'm running mine on a standard shaver adaptor and it seems to be working fine so far. If the fuse blows i'll bite the bullet and buy a proper adaptor but i'm probably going to go for the "swapping to a 3 pin plug" option in the long run.

I'm just using a shaver adaptor at the moment with my German wii... been used for over a week now and its still holding up. Will be getting a proper adaptor soon though.

I think i know what it may be. If you order before a certain time of the day, it gets dispatched on the same day. Maybe because we ordered past this time we will get it a day later (since it was dispatched a day later)

Thought you might have done XD If you log on to amazon.de and go to 'mein konto' and log in it should say somewhere about the dispatch info, towards the bottom of the page. Or at least, it does on my account. X)

I actually ordered on the 10th around 5pm, and received an e-mail the following morning at 9ish saying the item had been dispatched. Shortly afterwards got a call from my credit card company to verify the payment which I promptly did. Then when I checked my amazon.de account later that day, that info was on there.

I just want it to arrive so I know it's safe. I've read too many instances of people's Wii's being signed for with forged signatures/wii's left on doorsteps or under rubbish etc. It doesn't help that my flat is in a slightly weird location and my neighbour might get mistaken for my address.

It's good to know at least I'm not the only one who ordered a Wii that hasn't arrived yet. X)

Got mine all up and running now, had to nip out to get an adaptor though as my boyfriend forgot yesterday. Just using a shaver adaptor, which seems to be working a treat.

I don't think all credit card companies do confirm, mine was just seen as slightly suspicious because I was purchasing from another country. Barclays actually blocked my debit card without notifying me once when I bought a number of items off ebay on the same day.

I requested an update earlier today from Amazon.de - even though I have received mine this afternoon, I thought I would pass on the contents of the e-mail they sent back to me:

According to our carrier, the delivery to United Kingdom may take
up to 22 business days. Once the package reaches your country, the
actual delivery of the package is handled by your local postal
carrier, and this may account for the delay.

While the estimated time for the delivery has passed, we'd like to
ask that you wait just a few more days as, in our experience, in

For me, the issue is really that we're kept in the dark, not knowing whether it was shipped or any idea where it is....I don't mind if it gets delivered tomorrow or Friday, just that I'd like to know that its on its way.

Leaving stuff on someone elses door step (without a signature, as it appears) is completely irresponsible. In fact, courier companies who do this should get everything coming to them - even if that means someone receiving the parcel anyway, and then filing a claim that they didn't get it (because no one signed).

no card thru door, and def no sig as the guy who used to live in the house they dropped it at died a couple of weeks ago.
I cant understand why they didnt leave it on my door step at least

i had a delivery with DHL ages ago i missed it the first time~ they didn't leave a card and the next day i saw the DHL delivery van outside my house and i think i heard foot step outside my door too but he never rang my bell and left!! annoying
so i sent out a complain to them~~
i have another DHL delivery on the way to my house now but no one is there haha so i see if they will leave me a card this time~
