Hi you lot,

This thread is intended as a warning for anyone who has seen the link to the above website (www.consolefever.co.uk) via the Amazon homepage.

When looking through the site I have noticed a couple of things which don't add up & I'd much rather you were aware of the possible pitfalls before contacting them.

Firstly, the website states that they have Wii IN STOCK - but gives no opportunity to actually order one, instead a mobile phone number is supplied (0700 5947 366) which you then have to call & all you get is the voicemail. Does this sound a little shady?

Now, consider also the fact that the console costs £149.99 inc VAT & delivery, which is a total of £176.24 (since their terms & conditions page states that delivery is FREE to most of the UK) & you can begin to understand my concerns...

So, we know this website apparently HAS wii in stock, BUT, we ALSO know that you CAN'T just order one, no. Instead you either have to ring a mobile number (wtf?!?) & leave a message OR you can email them (also provided on the site). Does it strike anyone as strange that someone would offer an in-demand item such as this for LESS than the RRP? AND include FREE delivery? Load of ******** if you ask me.

Just to confirm (in case anyone still harbours a desire to do business with this site) - I checked the website owner & registrant details via WHOIS, and here's the Copy & Paste from their result:

...notice that the site's only a couple of days old? AND that he's a "non-trading" individual?

Until more feedback & concrete details can be ascertained, I'd say: Stay well away from this one!.

I'm just bumping this thread back up a little as I see these shysters nearly caught somebody out earlier:

...This post means it'll be back nearer the top & more visible to newcomers.

...bumpitty-bump

Whatever you do do not take any notice of this website. I unfortunately fell prey to them when they were trading as www.nextdayelectronics.co.uk. In my desperation for a Nintendo Wii I fell under the illusion that it was real. The website for 'consolefever' is exactly the same with just a few colours changed. They will con as many people as they can with this site and then close it and open another one that is exactly the same. The police aren't interested, which is why they can keep getting away with it. Please don't go crazy just to get a Wii like I did!

I rang the number before i read this thread, i actually got through and spoke to someone called Sam.

This what i was told to do when i asked to place an order.

Go to my Local Royal Bank of Scotland and deposit £149.99 using the following information.

RBOS REF N9717

Account Details 162448 10100784

Account Name Basharat

Once this had been completed i had to ring back and give them my delievery details. Also i had to do this before 1 PM because they only had 2 left in stock.

That was at 11.30 today, i sent them an email asking to pay using a card like their Terms said i could and as of yet no reply.

Is there anyway of checking these bank details ?

Not worth the risk for a saving of £25 quid.

I'm going to pass this onto my local trading standards to se what they can do.
