Nothing at Argos at the moment. I phone Woolworths (ex Big W) on the off chance and they had 12 in yesterday but all sold out.

Correct, apparently such days are for hardware deliveries.

Sounds about right with the tuesday/weds thing, Game in Cardiff had them in last two days, none today :(

When i used to work in Game, you would generally find that hardware deliveries can happen on random days - although i suspect that Game are trying to keep it as regular as possible.

Plus, whenever they say "I don't know what's coming in the delivery", that tends to be a lie, they usually get system confirmation of delivery items, its just a hassle to do it. But then again, its never accurate, so maybe its not worth building peoples hopes up.

What annoys me about being ex-Game, is that everyone that i used to work with has left, so im jiggered as my status holds no weight :/

But surely people who work in Game are people who like games and consoles and stuff and so would understand why people want to get hold of a Wii and they should be more sympathetic. Just cos they'll have theirs at home ready to play on when they finish work!

Yeah, but from experience, they do. Honestly.

They will be taking a high volume of calls about this one subject, which will be tying people up for long time, making system checks more unlikely. They aren't deliberately trying to hold you up, its circumstance.

Believe me, this is not a requirement. When I worked in Game, half of the staff didn't have a clue about video games. However, I can see why they'd fob people off. It can get very tiresome answering the same questions again and again, especially if some customers get quite mardy about it.

doesnt appear any Game stores getting delivery today...Tesco extra may do but you need to keep phoning throughout the day

Yeah, my neighbour got irate with me in the store at Xmas time over non-appearing hardware, pleasant every other time - games make people mad

Game don't necessarily employ game fanatics, we had half game enthusiasts in our store, and half was eye candy.

Must be company wide policy - we had the same situation!

Heh, i'd say so. Saw it in many different stores, but thats not to say some of the eye candy weren't game enthusiasts - one was a computer programmer.

Game rock. Memories.

So if you guys used to work there have you managed to get Wii's through the stores you used to work in?

Nah, as i said, everyone i used to work with has moved on to other things, so i hold absolutely no wieght with anyone in game ...
