Gutted!

Hey All

I managed to get a wii on Wednesday, download a couple of games play on wii sports for and hour and then it crashed :(

Now it wont load any games or stay in the wii menu longer than a couple of minutes without crashing - arraggghhhh

So now i can either pay to send it back to nintendo and await the 10 working day replacement scheme or get it refunded at my local game store and start all over again.

So near yet sooo far! :(

Have you still got the receipt? If so, if you take it back when I got mine they said if at any point it breaks just take it in to Game and if they don't have any in stock they'd reserve one with the next shipment.

Surely if you contacted Game about this, they should take your name and number and go to the front of the queue for a replacement.

When we connected ours up to our wireless internet connection, it downloaded and installed quite a lot of system updates for the Wii. This may sort your problem if you can do it.

Thanks Guys, I have checked with Nintendo and Game.

I'm just in a pickle what to do now?! Game have said they will swap it and i'm first in the queue to get one! Nintendo have said if i post it back they can send the replacement as early as next Tuesday!

The Console was fully updated to 2.1e and seemed to relate to the main system memory. I even tried formatting it and still had the same problem.

must admit I've had no probs with mine and I've taken it all over the place to different friends houses...no problems...so easy to set up as well :lol:

No the fault i have with mine has only been on a very small handful of rogue consoles so far according to Nintendo. It is a fault with the main memory and if your console is affected by it you will know on the day you switch it on.

I have finally decided to go for GAME, they have assured me that the next console they receive will be mine and i should be able to test it in store :)

Assuming GAME get stock a few times a week i shouldn't be waiting very long at all!

thats good :) atleast your getting a replacement. although i suppose its a little bit like being on a hunt for a wii again?
haha, being that you've got one you cant use and all.
