I understand that if you buy a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector you can then connect to the internet without a wireless router etc-is this right and has anyone done it?

Below text copied from GAME website
Nintendo DS dedicated wireless access point that plugs into the USB port on a PC (Windows XP only). Use the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector if you do not have access to a wireless network connection, or are unable to connect your Nintendo DS to the internet with your current connection. With the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, up to five Nintendo DS systems can be connected to the internet at the same time.

Yes - it works by effectively turning your PC into the wireless router. The DS and Wii will pick up the signal when you install the USB connector and so connect to the internet through the PC.

Its a bit more of a hassle than having a wireless router (for example you obviously need your PC on and the USB connector plugged in for it to work) but I suppose it can be a cheaper alternative to a wireless router.

I have one but don't need it anymore as I upgraded to a wireless router. I'd be happy to get rid of it if anyone is interested!
