I've been watching this for a while but first time I've posted anything. Has anybody had any luck trying to get a Wii from Studio or LX Direct? I don't know what to try next!

Just before Christmas I ordered from Studio because their website told me a about 3 weeks for delivery. When I phoned they told me it would be sometime in February! I ordered anyway but managed to get one on Amazon a few days later so cancelled my Studio order. It seems from what people have said they take a lot longer than stated to deliver.

Avoid Studio for now, when I rang them they said March despite their site saying 14 days (which is breaking the advertising laws may i add lol)

I got mine from Argos on sunday, just ring their phone service number and look for stock on all the stores that you're willing to travel too. I dont think they allow you to reserve the Wii but you can find out which store has new stock in. Ring at around 10 at night and then about an hour before the stores open again, as soon as you find a store that has stock make sure you're there before it opens.

I got mine and there was a guy behind me who wanted it too, I was lucky to have been waiting at the door before him as they only had one in stock.

Can't get to Game between 8.45 and 4.45 Mon-Fri. My local Game have said they won't reserve any more so to just pop in on the off-chance. :(

What number are you using to call Argos - I did call last week but the guy just said they had no stock anywhere and to call back later this week.

its all automated, I thinks its a better bet then speaking to an advisor beause they all seem to say different things and are probably sick of Wii calls.

Just do stock searches on as many stores as you can get too (one at night and one an hour or so before stores open) and im sure you'll get one. But you have to be there 5-10 mins before opening, and make sure you wait by the door !!

Thanks - no luck just now but will try again tonight. Can't believe how difficult it is to get one and how many of you guys have managed to bag one - more than one in some cases!

is it better to try the bigger argos stores or do you think the argos extra stores will stock them as well? :?

IMO they're both the same but if you find one at a store in a busy area (such as a shopping mall) then you'll have to be very lucky and very quick.

If you have no luck this week try ringing Sat nite after 10, it seems they get a delivery in around this time. Then if do the same in the morning and im sure you'll get one. However bear in mind that when you ring the stock check service during store closing hours you cant reserve one, so you either need to get there early or ring 2 mins before the store opend to reserve one (ring the actual store).

Whats happening is that Argos haven't had the huge shipment they're getting yet, so they're getting 2-3 units to random stores on a daily basis instead.

Just try any store code regardless of it being extra or not and you'll find one, trust me. Until last week I never thoght i'd get one.

thanks for that, theres an argos extra on my way to work and its in a small retail park which isnt very busy so ill be trying that one and if there is any ill be at the door at 8.50am ready to sprint in and get it!

I'm desperate now, pre ordered one on powerplaydirect and have heard rumours that there getting 750 in stock very soon etc etc not sure what to believe. Just gonna keep that one pre ordered and if i do get one by then ill just cancel the order

Mine was a retail park branch too, I think you should be able to get one from there.

I've got a pre-order with Powerplay but don't know when I'll get it. People are saying try Woolworths - is that online or just going into the shop?

Also, my local Tesco Home store allowed me to put my name on a list but they don't know when they're getting stock and the list is quite long!

You would have thought that a big UK shipment is around the corner, with the PS3 soon to be released Nintendo can't afford to be messing people about. So im sure it'll arrive soon.

Even though you got one on pre order just keep looking around.
