component cable?

I am looking at getting a component cable for my Wii but have a few questions before i buy???

1. are there any differences between the Nintendo one and the 3 party ones ( i have seen some on ebay foe £2.99 but i think i will avoid them)

2. how much difference will it make?

3. i only have 1 component input on my Tv which has my Xbox 360 plugged in to it. i have been looking at splitters and have found one for £14.00 (http://www.consoleplus.co.uk/product_info.php?pName=power-box-3way-ypbpr-component-selector
) any one used this and if so how good are they have seen reviews that say there good and some that say you get interference??

hope some one can help as i don't want to waste my money!!!!! :)

it look's awfull on my 27" HD LCD samsung atm :( really blocky & nasty

Mine is a component cable by Blaze. Pretty good and not blocky at all.

Looks good enough but one concern is length of cable from the splitter to the TV. If your TV is wall mounted you may want to check that as it would be difficult to hide if the cable's too short.

Why dont you put your 360 in through VGA (the blue one with lots of holeds and screws either side) the picture through a 360 is great. Then put your Wii in through component (Y, Pr, Pb). Thats what I did.
