stuck on language screen

please help.i reformatted my wii....dont know why....but i did and now ive lost everything.i cannot get past the language select screen because i have no hand on screen.the remote is working tho coz i can press the A button to get to the screen.help

Humm, not really that sure what you could do. Do you have the classic remote? On menu's the analog stick acts as the hand so you could do it that way i suppose.

no i dont so cannot try that.have i damaged the unit by reformatting do you think

Maybe but i would of thought that nintendo would sort it out. Give them a ring or look on the website.

No problem, i checked the website for you, no trace of anything to do with reformatting. Your best bet is ring nintendo tomorrow as you said. My guess is they'll either send you another wii or tell you what to do.

just thinking about it can't you use the d pad to select the langauge options? Maybe you could try re syncing the remote to the wii, or ensure the sensor bar is plugged in properly, make sure the remote has enough battery power too.
