You need an adapter or a wireless network, not sure about adapters they seem to not exist, whether on not it'll be a later release or if they are rare. Easiest way is a wireless network though.

Yeah i have a wireless router but every time i get through to it it always fails the connection test. Is there something i might be doing wrong?

does it give an error code, try searching that code on internet. what signal thing does your router give out, wii uses 802.11b/g.

Routers only give out b/g signals there arn't any others as far as i'm aware.

I keep getting a Ec: 5230 (i think) and all it says is you cannot connect to the internet... I get through the locating an access point bit but when i do a test it fails. Anyone had a simular problem to this?

802.11n is super-wireless (50m range, 200Mb/s typical speed), but it has yet to be confirmed as a standard.

Does your router use DHCP or a static IP? That is, when you first connected to your router with your PC, did you have to configure an IP? If so, try Manual Setup instead. And even if you didn't, you should still try Manual Setup - I hear it works for some people.

Wireless n (or pre-n as it's commonly known) is new, fast, but not yet adopted as an industry standard.

I think there is also wireless a ..... don't know anything about that one though.

I found I had to alter the broadcast frequency on mine to 1 and also I had to re-enable wireless b ..... I only use g on the PC's but the Wii wouldn't connect properly until I set the router back to mixed mode (b/g).

I can also confirm the Wii works just fine with WEP ..... but you need to enter the actual hex key, not the passphrase.

I run a Linksys WRT with custom firmware.
