Help with new Funchuck please !

Hi there,
I am new to all this and today bought the Logic3 Funchuck for my 5 year old son but it doesn't seem to work when I plug it in and has no instructions - am I doing something wrong or do I have to sync it or something ? Sorry for being a muppet - please help ! Else I will be taking it back tomorrow !

Assuming that the Funchuk connects into the Wii remote (in the same way as the original nunchuk does) then it shouldn't need syncing. The only controller that needs to be synced is the Wii Remote.

Sorry I'm not much help but I don't really know the Funchuk. :(
