I think there is a thread for this on here but I can't find it..

I tried to update my internet channel and add the
night and day channel (I think that's what it's called)
but I don't have enough memory blocks.

Do I just insert a sd card in and transfer everyhing over to it...?
Do I then delete the transferred info off the wii hard drive..?
What's the best sd card to use ..1gb...2gb...4gb....?
Can I use an old sd card or is it best to buy a new one...?

I've never done this before so anyone's tips or advice would be excellent...

Thankyou...

hey ivan:)

ive had the same problems mate (bit of a pain)

what i did in the past was just delete the wiiware/VC games that i wasn't really playing (you can always re-download them in the future free of charge)

n64 and wiiware titles taking up the most space. the other biggy is the nintendo channel if you use that it takes up huge memory:eek:

so if you transfer on to an sd card and then delete the info off your wii you can always re-download it again free of charge if you wanted too!

(sorry im not great at explaining things:rolleyes:)

saved photos on the message board and such also suck up your memory quite quickly

Months ago Ninty did an update that allows you to use SD cards up to 4Gb and also to store and run VC games from a card.

Put any SD card into the slot and then go to data management, from there you can copy any downloaded games onto it, and freeing up more of the onboard flash memory.

It's alright to leave the card in the slot all the time, I've got a 4Gb in mine and now run some VC stuff from it, :D

Thanks Hilly and WiiSpark..:D

I've picked up a cheap sd card and will
give it a go this weekend..

That nintendo channel does take up a huge
amount of space...and I don't even use it that much..

As Sparky says, memory shouldn't be an issue now the update has added the SD card functionality. They load really fast too directly from the SD card. :)
