Save Wiifind!

hey everyone!

i thought it was about time we tried to save wiifind! from what i can see wiifinds had it's problems in the past, but when i signed up it was a busy user friendly forum:)

for me it is a perfect compliment to another forum i use (gameov3r) and i would hate to see it just dissappear:(

so what can we do to attract new members or just get the old ones back? im still intouch with a few folks who don't post much so i'll send out some pm's and round them up.

any other ideas?

it seems quite a few forums are strangely quiet at the moment even the mighty wiitalk:confused: maybe folks are just not playing so much these days?

wel, i remember the forum getting a re-design. But then the admins flew of into space and imploded or something.

But i'd like Wiifind to be "alive" again as well so let the ideas fly (i got nothing at the moment)

I'd love it to go back to being more popular than the half a dozen of us who frequent this site, and I'm willing to support it still, but there will be no cash donations or nude modelling.

Most of my spare time goes on playing games (as there are so many to play) so my forum time has dwindled considerably. More playing, less talking. I suspect a lot of people probably do the same as the Wii is still as popular as it has ever been.

Shame about the re-design not happening, but then would you want to go ahead with it if there isn't the demand for one? Or did people disappear because it never happened?

It would be a shame for Wiifind to die out, especially since it was such a popular place. I'd love to see it reclaim it's crown as top Wii forum!

I've not been able to get on the forums as much as normal either due to Uni assignments and house moves taking over my life, but I always keep an eye out to see what's happening.

We need some healthy competition on current games. I'd be happy to make up a Wii Sports Resort leaderboard for all those people who have the game?

It is a great shame that for all the Wii's huge success and selling more than the PS and Xbox it has the less vocal gamers of them all. It says a lot about the majority of Wii gamers not being passionate about the console and gaming in general. I think Wiifind has run its course as it only you guys keeping it alive and as its up near the top in Google search it should be more busy. Either its time to look else where and move on to Gameov3r and have a Wii forum there or continue to use this place until the plug is pulled.

Maybe if we got the re-vamped forum that was discussed some months ago, then that could attract a few more members on board. That along with the monthly challenge, and who knows we might just get a lively forum going again.

We certainly need to do something but I don't know what. It would be a real shame for the forum to get stopped as I have grown quite attached to it (sad or what).

Even if the site was re-vamped I don't think it would attract anymore attention than it does now. After all it isn't that bad overall and I don't think the style is what keeps people away. Hopefully as Christmas gets nearer all the people who are only just getting a wii will come and have a look at us and some of them might even stay around for a while.

There are plenty of Wii sites out there thriving and continually growing, with teams of people dedicated to the continous improvement of their sites. As with most of those gamers, I find it far more interesting to visit a place like Nintendolife than here. Problem is, there is no-one here who cares (or has enough time) to push this site in the right direction.

So, whilst I'll always have a fondness for this place, I have lost all interest in trying to flog a dead horse. :(

This place was so popular long ago, about a year ago, but it's just gone too quiet... either we get this site hyped up or it could turn for the worse... :(

We need something like a Mario Kart tourney, but barely anyone showed up when we tried doing that to attract members... :( (the first time we set them up everyone showed up!... when wiifind was more... popular)

No matter how quiet Wiifind goes I'll still drop by every now and again.

I can probably name 8 -10 regular members. and another 20 that's been recently banned for spamming. ;)

I used to be addicted to Wiifind. Used to be a Mod too ;)

I guess i kinda just lost the attention of the site.

Plus, i liked the old forum apperance that came about in 06 - mid 07.

Anyway,

good luck on gettin the forum more users.

(This site was at its best when everyone was fighting for 1000th posts and i wont it and Wiifind sent me a brand new The Godfather game which was brand new at the time. good times.

I can't promise I'll stick about, but I'm from the early days and thought I'd check in on the place that gave me a heads up on where and when to get my Wii :-)

I'd probably have gone many months more with twilight princess collecting dust if I hadn't got that gamestation website hint.

So we seem to be nearing the end, huh? I dunno...maybe it's time. The main purpose of this forum was to help out the more avid fans get their mits on a Wii, right? Well it definitely succeeded in that regard and now wii is in plentiful supply. Maybe it's time for a whole new forum?
