I have been looking for a wii for a long time and because i have got exams on havn't bothered to put the amount of effort into looking for one as you guys have, but any idea what the stock is like in london, e.g the game in oxford street perhaps they are recieving more wii than in other less central places.
and also when roughly will they be shipped in bulk and how long will i have to wait before it eases up and we and I can just walk in and buy one instead of this labourous process of trying to reserve one.

Whoa, I don't live in London, but I know its probably gonna be really hard for you to get hold of one, simply because of how densly populated the city is.
You will probably have more luck on the outskirts of London, rather than in central London.
EDIT: Nobody seems to know when they're being shipped, Nintendo are keeping very quiet.

spoke to Game in Bank and they had three this week. they open at 8:30 so I may have to go to work extra early some days.
daft idea but has anyone tried Harrods? do they even do computer games? they must do..?

Yes same here revising solidly for mocks and to be honest think i'll just wait until after the exams when they become more widely available. which shouldn't be too long,

thing is - and this is the dilemma i'm having - is that its only worth getting one in Jan.
If you wait till Feb, you may as well wait until March as they will BLATENTLY have some better offers about, WiiSports + any other game etc...
and attempt to undercut PS3 sales.

I just hope that in a couple of week s i'll be able to get one more easily
and the thing is that at least in london they are likely to get a bigger shipment slightly sooner, hopefully, when do others think it likely to ease up a bit, I know its just specualation but i'm interested on what others think

Its pretty shambolic, but i can understand the demand being high.
IMO nintendo has ample stock ready to ship but they've engineered this to ensure high sales. They wouldn't be the first company to do this. I work for blockbuster so i know !!
I agree with the above post, if you dont get one in Jan then its not worth getting one till march as the price will most def be lowered.
