Its come to my eye that theres a much much better chance if you pre-order from a shop near you than buying online, as they have a different stock than the Online pre-ordering.

yeah i did from play.com, but now i've got it from techsplosion. Nope no e-mails or calls, they guarentee me one apparently as they know how many they will be getting. They've ran out now but i ordered mine before they ran out soooo, fingers crossed.

I actually don't give a **** about this so even if it was available in the UK I wouldn't be using it, much the same as other features of ios 5 I won't be using. My vote for the best PIM on the iOS platform is PocketInformant. It by far the most polished and capable app available on the platform. I have used Calengoo, SaiSuke, MiCal, Calvetica, QuickCal, and WeekCal. I always come back to PocketInformant. My pick of the week is Perfect Browser. It is a very fast and full featured webkit Browser. It supports tabs and full screen view. It just received a nice update this past week which added favorites importing. I hope they fix the 3g connectivity issues on non official carrier for factory unlocked iphones, there's a bunch if people having this issue after 4.3.1 abd 4.3.2 updates. The far bigger news out of this is that Apple has changed the rules on magazines, refusing to allow them to offer the ipad editions to print subscriber free of charge:Like quite a few tipb posters, I subscribe to the Economist, and read the ipad version or the dead tree version depending on which is more convenient. With this change, the Economist can no longer mentht ipad version as a subscriber perq � even though they want to. Instead, I will have to set up and purchase a separate subscription mediated through iTunes. Apple, not the Economist, would control the subscriber data, soothe magazine would not even know full details of their own customers.I, as the customer, get increased prices and less convenience. The Economist, as my provider, gets less information about their customers. And Apple benefits at both our expenses. What does $ 25 a year you buy ... 25 000 storage your non-iTunes "purchased" music files in a data center to a managed redundancy. This is a reasonable price. Period. There are apps i do not buy just because of that. Why should I trust my personal data (contacts, e-mail, SMS, etc.) to Apple more than I would trust with Google - the paranoia factor? I wouldn't say it's exactly how it should work. They should have addressed the problem earlier, but they are still within their stated window. However, the blogs are definitely guilty of stoking expectations and trying to outguess Apple. Getting a scoop is one thing (I understand the pressure to be first), but now everyone wants to be ahead of first, to make the first prediction. I turned my badge for Facebook for months and it still has constantly freaking and updates the count there. It makes me crazy. Most phones that are coming out, are dual cores, that don't run will because the software doesn't properly use them. I've had my iPhone 4 for 6 days and this happened to me yesterday. I can't remember if I was accessing the AppStore (yes, Microsoft, the app store) or not.. However, I did notice that I had been dropped from 3G to Edge which I thought was weird, and then got the error.. I did a hard reset and it solved problem. It's a nice feature, and long overdue. Too bad it comes at the expense of functionality. The new update is so bad that I don't even use it anymore. I can't see any updates past the first page.
