It has always been a bit of an unknown quantity this one. Treyarch released Call of Duty 3 on the Wii at release only to have Infinity Ward snub the Wii for the fourth title in the series. Of course we all know Treyarch stayed loyal to the machine's user base and released World at War with brilliant results. So will Infinity Ward ignore the Wii for the sixth game?

Well, on IGN you can find "Modern Warfare 2 [rumoured version]" in the Wii section here (http://uk.wii.ign.com/objects/142/14281103.html).

So will it or won't it, that is the question.

It'd surely be a waste not to, especially after the success of the first World at War. It also proves how fluid and, frankly, sublime the game engine is on the Wii, so why not? If it's what people want, then why not deliver? And I'll no longer entertain that argumentative tripe that the Wii isn't 'hardcore' enough and therefore not a viable platform.

If it doesn't manifest on Wii, they'll be doing the fans of the series a huge injustice.

Well, if it does come to the Wii, here is a taste of what to expect:

Well, the e3 show has now finished and absolutely no word on a Wii version. You can also pre-order Modern Warfare 2 on every platform other than Wii.

Doesn't look good does it?? :(

Never mind, the first one still rocks, and there are too many other games coming out to get too upset. The one thing about this years conference is I've realised I'm going to be buying a shed load more games. MORE!!!

It'll be a shame if they snub the Wii, but I'm not that bothered now I've seen what else is due out :)

They probably might not have it out due to not having warfare 1 on wii.

If they are then they probably havent had a full desicion to agree definetly will it be possible to make on wii.

Just have to keep waiting.

Okay, this isn't quite what I had in mind or was expecting. Although it appears that Modern Warfare 2 isn't appearing on the Wii, Treyarch have announced that they will be releasing the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on Wii at the same time as the follow up for the other machines!

'Tis true. Here's another link - http://kotaku.com/5330124/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-comes-to-wii-this-november - shame its Treyarch.

Well I agree and disagree with you, Infinity Ward are definitely better games developers but I think Treyarch did a fine job in getting World at War onto the Wii (some glitches aside). With IW's design and Treyarch's use of Wii hardware it could be good.

Agreed, Huzz. World at War is a classic on Wii. So I have every confidence they'll show the same enthusiasm with this conversion. If it's as good as WaW it should be pretty awesome.

Good also as I never had chance to play COD4 before :)

You're in for a treat Munkle, the campaign is much better than World at War and the online is great too (although I think World at War edges it even with the glitches).

By the time you've finished teasing me with all these games, I'll have spent an absolute fortune ;) Lol! :D

I know it's highly regarded, and if the campaign is even better than World at War it'll definitely be a must-buy. I love that game :)
