Just noticed this on Play.com. Let me know if you come across one cheaper :) but I think £14.99 is pretty good. To purchase Animal Crossing with Wii Speak is still £49.99, so it's actually cheaper to buy them separately.

I have a bit of a barrier when it comes to Wii Speak. I'm all up for chatting with friends while gaming but I don't like the whole loud speaker arrangement. I prefer a headset unfortunately. Still, it's a good deal if you want one. :)

It's more the thought of talking to people for me ;) But after playing Animal Crossing last night and just standing there doing nothing whilst typing, I've realised the time to bite the bullet (and unleash my Northern voice on the unsuspecting public) is nigh! :p

It works really well actually, you can always hear people clearly and there doesn't appear to be much crackling or echoes. Sometimes the hardest thing about it are the regional dialects :D

Ahead of Munkle's unleashing I found an online translator (http://www.whoohoo.co.uk/yorkshire-translator.asp) which should help us all out as it covers other foriegn dialects: Irish, Geordie, Cockney, Brummie & Scottish.....
Here are some examples:

Phrase:
Would you like to play Animal Crossing
Munkle:
'ood theur li' ta laik animal crossin t'neet.

Phrase:
I have Wii Speak but no translator unfortunately
Munkle:
Ah av wii speyt bur neya translator unfortunately.

Phrase:
What do you mean, I speak Queens English
Munkle:
Wha' does thee mean ah, ah speyt queens english uz.

Phrase:

Munkle:
Ooa eur theur callin eur northern twa' theur sahthern softy.

Thankfully I wouldn't know how to pronouce those words above, so I can take pride in the fact that I've escaped being tarred with that pigeon-obsessed, whippet-stroking Northerner caricature we all love to ... love ;)
