A few bits of news from yesterday regarding the Wii:
First we had Virtual Console, then WiiWare, now the Wii gets Virtual Console Arcade. The VC Arcade launched with four games: Gaplus, Mappy and Tower of Druaga from Namco Bandai, and Starforce from Tecmo. The games sell for $5-$6 each.
The Wii's storage issues has now been solved with an update available today. Wii's System Menu 4.0 now allows high-capacity SD cards to be used on Wii. An icon for the storage now appears on the menu, and is available as an update immediately. HCSD cards can be as large as 32GB.
Starting in May in Japan, the first six classic Final Fantasy titles will be released on Wii's Virtual Console service. Hopefully this will include the rest of the planet.
