Is this the one that's a sort of cross-between Animal Crossing and Harry Potter? If so, I want it :D
Let us know your thoughts :)

Yeah, its pretty good if a little confusing at first. Its like AC but where on AC you see them walking about with a fishing rod but not doing anything with it on Enchanted they actually use them.
Its well worth buying if just for the differences. A good part is if you catch a fish or a bug and want to register it the book you are using to register actually eats them. They're not polite about it either.
You also have to go to school to learn spells n stuff. There is also a mystery every week (?) which you have to solve and something else called Mystery Time where everything is almost the same but only almost and you can find weird plants and suchlike.
You should buy it right now.
Just remembered it's also multiplayer using the friend code system.

Yeah I think this one'll be going on the wish list. I saw a preview of it on ONM and thought it looked (and sounded) really cool. I like the idea of using magic like some wand-wielding nutter.
Thanks for the feedback Suze. I'm going to have a look around for bargain prices :D
Just ordered this, so should have it soon. Can't wait. I'll let you know my friend code when I get it Suze :)

Suze, this game is absoutely brilliant. Thanks for persuading me to buy it (though it was on the cards). I'll put up my code when I get chance.
I'd also advise any other Animal Crossing lovers - or potential wizards - to buy a copy. It's easily as good as AC, and with possibly more fun to be had. Believe it or not. :D
Glad you like it. I found it a little confusing at first but it turned out I had managed to miss the whole of the first proper lessons so I decided to restart and am so glad I did.
The address below is full of helpful questions about the game and is well worth a look, especially when you are getting ready to throw your ds in the bin (I get my new DSi tomorrow). Have you tried fishing yet? I am absolutely hopeless but have managed to catch a few.

so you recommend this then, my dsi is on the way and im wanting a new game also........... so by the way you two talk about it, its good, lol seeing as munkle enjoys i think i will get this seeing as we like the same games lol.

Yeah definitely recommended. It's also extremely surreal, which is fabulous for a freak like myself ;)
I've not really had any trouble with it, particularly nothing frustrating, in fact I'm enjoying the fact that it's has a lot more depth than first appears. The magic elements of the game are quite complex and brilliant. I'm so hooked on it I've hardly played Animal Crossing! Lol! Shock horror!
Fishing was tricky at first but I'm learning quite well. Some of the bigger fish are total buggers to catch, but succesfully catching them is ultimately extremely rewarding.
Lal, you'll love it. Trust us :) I don't know if I've said this previously, but there is almost too much to do on it.
Anyway, that's enough time on here. I'm off to make myself invisible and listen to my fellow students gossip about each other ;)

Sorry, I haven't already replied to this. Our internet and TV went down early yesterday morning and we have only just got a connection back within the past 10 mins. Apparently it affected all the Virgin Media customers in Leigh - dread to think what they've been doing at Virgin.
Lal, its brilliant. So well thought out its great. The only thing I don't like about it is the fishing but I have finally mastered it I think. Its got a a lot more to it than AC, even though I think that's where the original idea come from, and like I've said before the other residents actually use their fishing rods etc. Its particularly good on the DSi because of the slightly bigger screen and better sound quality.

Couldn't agree more. And i also like the fact you can hang out with the other villagers i.e. going fishing, or for a drink or to the island etc. And even playing instruments together is hilarious :)
I just want to mention the music in the game, as it's simply brilliant. The half dozen songs I've purchased from Harrows are great, one in particular which is a bit prog rock and very cool.
I'd certainly like to play this on the DSi for even better audio and visual clarity.
Suze, did you go out to the island this morning? I got to fight a pirate and beat his sorry ass! Lol! Glad to hear you've mastered the fishing.
Yeah, I beat Dot up as well this morning. I think he must be on the island every Sunday but I've learned my lesson and make sure the only thing I'm carrying when I go to see him on the island is a very basic mushroom as he wanted to take my broom off me last week. No chance, the silly man. Am still having a bit of trouble fishing in the ocean when it is one of the bigger fish and haven't managed to catch one of them yet, either the line breaks or they get away. Am ok with the smaller stuff though.
I think the game is easier on the DSi because the touch screen is more sensitive, and on the DS I was playing a lot with the buttons instead of the stylus which I didn't really like (mainly 'cos I'm useless with the direction buttons when walking), but now have been able to go back to playing with the stylus. Have just finished a days Mystery Time so I should get a new mystery to solve tomorrow and hopefully some new lessons.
I also like the music on the cds and like the fact if you spend long enough listening to it you can whistle the tune later. Quite an accomplishment for me as I can't actually whistle.
this game does sound cool i defo want it now lol.................. also are you able to go visit other town like on ac?

Yeppers! ;) I haven't visited anywhere yet due to having limited gaming time at present, but it's very similar to AC so I imagine you can do all the same stuff. You can also take along one of your villager-friends to someone elses town, which is a nice touch :)
It'd be cool to cast spells at each other! Lol!
I haven't been able to visit elsewhere yet because we are using the wrong security on our network. By all accounts you need wep for this game and ours is Weski2 or something like that. Quite annoying really, as I don't have any trouble using DSi ware. Oh well, I'll sort it out somehow.
cool this game sound better and better by the minute. my other half brought me the ONM today and it a mini guide to the game in which made me want this even more lol now i just have to save enough pennies to get the game :D

Game are doing an offer at the moment. If you trade in any two DS games you can have a new game of your choice for only a fiver. They told me it didn't matter which games you traded or how old as long as they are for the DS.
ok i now have my dsi and im looking for the game but no where has it and no one as heard of it either lmao so where did you two get yours from?????

Got mine from Game in Wigan. If you cannot get it don't fret yourself as I think there will be quite a few people trading their copy in soon as there isn't a guide anywhere and not everybody is understanding what its about.

I don't know why people have to search for meanings and guides to everything. Can't people just play these games and discover things for themselves anymore without being walked through it by a laminated booklet? Sheesh. Where is imagination? There is too much to do in a day on this game, with the various classes, mysteries, friends to hang about with, fishing, bug catching, dating and blah blah blah.
Mind you, I also understand people can't play Animal Crossing without time travelling to unlock furniture, or using cheats to unlock furniture for their catalogues.
Maybe I've got this wrong, but it seems a little sad to me. It's like not being able to watch a film without reading a write up on Wikipedia about it first.
Anyway, rant over ;)
Oh, and Suze, did you download those cool brooms? :)

No, our security on the router is set wrong for the game, we are using WPA2TKI (or something like that anyway) and the game only seems to want WEP. Quite annoying really as I can go to the DSi ware site no problems. Think I might go to MCDonalds or somewhere with free wifi and download them while I'm there. If you have any bright ideas on how to get round this problem with the security I would be glad to hear them, as the only thing I can think of to do about it is to lower the settings on the router and Phil would have a hissy fit if I did that, and I wouldn't blame him.
Have you downloaded them yet? If so, are they actually worth downloading? I bought a saxophone yesterday and if I play it where there are other kids they will all pull out an instrument and play as well, even in the classroom after a lesson. Really good, this is the best DS game for me in ages. So glad I bought it.
woooooooohooooooooooooo i just ordered my copy from the currys website.............. still mad i cant find it in the shops grrrrrrrrrrr lol well i guess i will have it soon :D

Yeah those brooms are worth a download Suze. They're nothing you can't live without, but as freebies they're cool :) My favourite being the reindeer broom. Sorry for the spoiler! ;)
I decided I'd limit myself to play it for only half hour earlier due to having a migraine ... Have only just put the game down from about 4pm! Lol! I just can't see myself losing interest with this game, particularly with some of the spells/incantations I've learned lately. One of them borders on the demonic. Loving it :D
Lost my bog-standard cleaning broom earlier to Captain Dot, the wretch!
Glad to hear you've got it ordered, Sal. Prepare to lose many hours to it!
When you go to see Captain Dot just have a straw mushroom in your pocket and nothing else, that way if you lose you don't suffer too badly. Great spells aren't they. I bet they had a great time writing this game and thinking up all the spells and stuff.
Glad you've managed to find it Lal, its great.

I did consider doing that, but I do think it makes it more exciting if you put something more valuable at stake. I think that cleaning broom is only about 800 Ritch so I'm not too fussed :)
They are great spells, and there are some real laugh-out-loud moments when you're using them (particularly when you're using them mischievously, only to have an angry panda chasing after you with a flatulence spell. Never thought I'd be typing that one down! Lol!)
Apparently from the 2nd of next month we have tea parties to look forward to, to teach us how to be civilised. I'm actually really looking forward to that. Drinking tea in the conservatory with a friend makes me laugh every time :)
Btw, Emma has made her own account now, so I expect my play time will be decreasing dramatically! Lol! ;)

I got an evaluation off Principal Sol today and he upgraded me to level 2 wizard (or is that witch).
I am still having a bit of trouble with the fishing though, especially the big stuff. Either the line breaks because I have tried to reel them in too quickly or the fish get bored and go off because I didn't reel them in quickly enough. I just can't seem to find that happy medium. Ok with the small fish though.
I spent last night dropping a big metal basin on somebodies head in the hopes that she'll leave, 'cos she's really snooty and not like all the other residents.
I also have to have the tea parties in the hopes of civilising us all so it should be good fun. Hope they let me play my saxaphone when I'm slurping my tea.

You really have to be quick on the button with the big fish, only relenting when it splashes (no doubt someone will find a euphemism in there). You probably know that, but once you get the technique it gets easier ... ish! It's still pretty tough though.
Sounds like you're having fun unleashing your powers on your poor residents. One of the villagers asked me on a date, and then everyone starting spreading rumours the next day that I've been dumped, and my lady friend refuses to hang out with me! It's hilarious. I love it! Lol! :D
Ahh, tea and sax, sounds like a night round Michael Bolton's house ;)
I'm currently a level one wizard, but about 4 small stars away from level 2. The other day I was taught how to summon a phantasm in the toilets. How spooky is that? This game has so many quirky qualities it's awesome! Lol!
I love the phantasm but last week she nicked my last red tulip so I had to go out and buy another one and she nicked that too.
Miss Strawe keeps going on to have tea in the conservatory in readiness for our tea parties in May. God knows what she thinks we are all going to do but I've been practising my flatulence spell.

I thought you had to offer a red tulip anyway? Or did she just blatantly duff you over and steal your supplies? I still think that strange phantasm girl is a little too freaky for her own good. Just sat there on the toilet like that, making those eyes at me ...
ugh ... freaky!
So Suze, do you think you're, perhaps, having too much fun with the flatulence spell. Or, as Mr Oakley put it, using the power of farts! ;)
Have only used the flatulence spell once or twice, honest.
Got a boyfriend yesterday and he keeps following me around. Personally, I think I would have preferred him as a pal and then I would be free to do my own thing, but there you go. He can pay in the LimeLight next time though, or I'll make him wait twice as long while I memorise some music.
i have finally got it yay me lol................ got it friday been playing and learning the ropes i think its great so far :D i have learnt the basics and i know where everything is now lol i had trouble with mystrey time on my fist day dont know what the hell that is about apart from there are things around that are not there in normal mode  totallly confused.com with that lol. Ive mastered fishing already have caught a load of huge fish i love the names of the too even if i cant read them half the time lol. also the neighbours are cool and the teachers i love it when the head master changes his head lol.............. you guys were right this is a great game so far cant see me getting board with it anytime soon only thing is my animal crossing town has been neglected the last couple of day lol. oh and im also having the same problem as you suez my game wont conect to web as i need to change my settings to wep also but at the mo have no idea how to do that. so if anyone has any tips how to change it (i use virgin media) that would be great. anyway im off to play some more. :D bye x
Lal, I think its the security settings on your router you have to change. I've been told you can use the router to set different levels of security for different things, but because we have an apple router I don't know how. Think I'm going to have to go and ask apple, but there might be something on Nintendos' support site for pc based routers.
The game is brilliant and the more I play it the more involved I get. Still hate fishing though, and can still only catch the little stuff.

Anyone else loving the tea parties? Miss Strawe is the funniest looking character since Mr Graves! Lol! I love her. I don't know what it is that makes me crack up when they all start laughing whilst supping a cuppa! I guess sitting with a monkey and a panda enjoying a fine brew reminds me of something from Alice in Wonderland.
Got a flower rain spell which is really nice. I didn't realise the rain would last all day.Good job it's pretty to look at. And the transformation spell is hilarious, becoming another character is a mischievous way to spend the afternoon. Anyone else still addicted to this classic? :)

Yeah, I am also liking the tea parties though I am now getting a bit bored with them and wanting them to finish then I can have Mystery Time back.
Are we actually supposed to do anything at the tea parties or just sit there drinking tea and laughing.
The flower rain spell is gorgeous and later I think I will cast it and then cast the Party Popper one and see what it looks like or even if they'll both work at the same time.
By the way, what musical instruments have you bought.

Can you not do Mystery time then? I haven't done that for a while. It did it automatically whilst we were away on hol, but I didn't really get involved (blame the sangria!).
I don't know about the tea parties, I keep hosting them in the conservatory just to impress Miss Strawe. Though Emma is also trying to win her approval after I won the best student for last month ;) Heh heh!
I only have an acoustic guitar at the minute. Trying to save up for an electric but they all cost a fortune. How about you? Bet you have a flute.

Nope, I don't have a flute. I have a Saxaphone and Maraccas but am saving up also for an electric guitar.
You can't seem to get into MT whilst the tea parties are being held or I should say I haven't been able to. I keep trying but I just keep getting the damn knocking on the other side of the door. I don't know what they are doing in there but I sure wish they would get a move on.
I have heard/read you are supposed to decorate the conservatory with furniture but I haven't bothered and just got loads of plants in there and it seems ok. To be truthful I haven't decorated my room that much either, as I hardly spend any time in it I just don't see the point. Might do more about decoration when I can buy my house but I don't know when that will be.

Hmmm ... There are bits you've hinted at in there that I'm not aware of, so I'll forget about those ;)
I'm quite impressed with our conservatory, lots of flowery archways and benches and fountains and things. Looks lovely. And even the hard-hearted panda Damien has warmed to it! Lol! Btw, I've not heard that knocking yet ... But you know what they say ... If the rooms a knocking, don't come rocking ... Or something like that ;)
