Hi,

I'm very very new to wii so you'll have to forgive the novice in me.

We got a Wii for our girls for xmas along with an extra remote. We synched the new remote and they've been playing on it all day with absolutely no problems. We had dinner eveything was turned off, but when they went back to it the remotes won't work, either of them. All 4 LED lights at the bottom flash but that's it. I synched the remote for the console and its been turned off and on a few times today so this time was no different.

I've tried resynching them, I've tried resetting the console, I've even changed the batteries, but nothing works. They flash for a few seconds then go dead. I'm not sure what is wrong with it, can someone please help me??????

And before someone says have you turned it off and turned it back on again, yes I have done that as well

Thanks
Geli

my experience with this issue normally relates to batteries or the synching, try removing batteries from one of the remotes and just getting one remote synched at a time, also ensure the sensor bar is visible for the remotes.

Have you actually tried disconnecting the wii from the power supply completely for a couple of minutes? Then turn on the Wii using the power on one of the remotes.

great advice from thelocal! dissconect everything including the sensor bar for atleast two minutes then set it all back up abd start from scratch (re-sync etc) if theres still no luck make sure that theres not any interference coming from lights etc (which have been known to affect wiimotes in the past) really hope this works as im sure the kids are gutted:(

heres a link that might be of some help

Synching = Not how to spell it
Syncing = how to spell it

Just thought I'd tell you guys there's no H, don't worry I spell checked..

When you synced the second one are you sure you synced it and not just connected it? If not and you actually did sync it,

This happens to my brother a lot, when you sync your remote press the button on the remote once at the same time press the one on the wii once. It should flash for a few seconds and then connect. Do this with the other remote but wait for about 20 seconds after doing the first one. When you've done the second one and there both definitely connected turn off your wii and then turn it back on again. When you connect your 2 remotes, do them 1 by 1, if you try to connect them both at the same time the wii console will take longer to register it and sometimes one of them disconnects from the Wii (yes it's true it's happened to me). Also when connecting just press the A button once and wait, then obviously do the next one. That should work..

Just to echo what hilly said .. .. .. that's some good advice there.

I find it astonishing the number of 'faults' that can be corrected just by removing the power lead from the Wii and leaving it to fully power down for a few minutes.. .. .. .. .. ..

Sorry to ruin your attempt to be clever, Kryn, but it can be spelled both 'syncing' and 'synching'. You should change your spell check from American English to British English.
