Kryn your free to do what you want, but having entered the friend code your asked for the that persons name and town name and then your able to write a comment about that friend which is an ideal place to enter that persons native fruit or something :roll: its merely a suggestion and not one of the 32 people who posted on my AC FC index on my other forum even batted an eyelid :)

no worries daddio, the Nintendo server for AC:CF is overloaded in the evenings now anyway, it seems to begin frm 9:30pm UK time, I was up until 3am this morning (Monday morning) trying to visit friends in NYC & Texas...a time when it should be quiet but still no joy, I'll be online tomorrow night from 8:30pm if your around.

UPDATE: Just ben reading a Gamespot thread relating to AC wifi being down and apparently its to do with someone trying to hack WFC through the game according to a few people who've spoken to Nintendo over in the states..... personally I still believe its a traffic issue as it was fine tonight before 9pm....

You can store up to 32 Friend Codes in your roster Junior and have upto 3 guests in your town which I know doesn't sound like loads but if all 4 of you have Wii Speak its enough, anymore than 4 and then you'd get mixed conversations going on.

What sort of times do you get on there, Lal? I haven't seen your town open yet. We had a friend over on Sunday morning for a few hours which was fun. It still scares me trusting people not to ruin our village though!

The Wii Speak channel is a channel of its own, I'd suggested to primrose to try and unplug her wii speak and then plug it back in whilst the game is still on....my guess is that the reset button on the front of the console was pressed (I've done this myself :oops:) my gate is currently open....Munkle and Sally are currently visiting...so space for one more...

lol Covey thats what i tried to do and i managed to somehow shut the whole thing down dooh anyway thanks again both of you fruit now all planted and fingers crossed I did cut down trees and plant fruit in the hole left by the stump i read this assures its survival. I think I need only cherries now if that lot grow.

Hi Alliballi, don't forget you can leave your red turnip buried as long as you wish, and it will continue to accrue 1000 bells per day so long as it's watered. I got 16,000 from one a couple of week back and 8,000 from one today. Don't ask me why I dug it up, I should have left it for as long as possible. Sometimes the temptation to exhume them is just too much! ;)

No probs :) Can't honestly answer your coconut question, not sure if you can plant them too far away from the beach or not, never actually tried it. And I think you can dig up your shovel the day after you buried it for it to become golden. I left mine overnight anyway and it was ready. Wonder if anyone else can confirm this :D

OK.....it was me...the doughnut!! there was I trying to plant more pitfall seeds around my red turnip and unfortunately I dug up my red turnip :( I re-planted it and watered it and it seems to be ok this evening...

Regarding coconuts I've always been told that cocnut palms will only grow near the beach but can't be buried in sand, it must be in the pebbly/stoney areas of sand, like any tree not too close to buildings or the cliffsides at each end of the beach, having followed the advice it seems to be true, so hopefully that should help you out.

Went to Daddios' village on Thurs night and very nice it is too. Makes mine look bad, having said that I had only been playing 1 day by then and it give me a chance to test my speak. I know how it works now I've tried it (must try reading the instructions in future).

Collected a peach and an orange from Daddios so hopefully they will have bloomed/fruited by the time I get back on there.

I started to use my mii as my character but it looks stupid with such a big head on a little body so I think my first job is to jump the bus and go to Shampoodle and get it changed.

Hi all and thanks again for coconut turnip and gold shovel advice. Ok this is going to sound crazy but it is like a war zone in our house at the mo, Roxy is 19 and my daughter I am 41 and her mum ok follow so far. Wii is hers but she knew i would luv animal crossing being a total addict of sims years back. So she was right problem is she has now banned me from Wii and is seriously in the huff as I have a bigger house ect:p Anyway I am gutted and totally lost now with only snatched time on Wii when I am not working and she is at Uni or out. I am going to have to buy another Wii and game ect how awful is that.
I am at the moment not paying off my mortgage and banking as much as possible so i can transfer loads of bells and all my moveable possesions as soon as I have got enough pocket money to get my own Wii and game.
Anyway update is all coconuts did grow I have my second crop of fruit from first coconut tree., so planted them today too I now have 5 coco nut trees whay:D Thank you so much Lal and Covey I had my first crop of oranges, peaches and pears YAAAAAAY. I feel really mean and if i was as mean as I feel which I am not I would chop Snuffbry`s coconut, pear, orange and peach trees down before i leave for my own village hopefully soon. you have to plant a tree and water it to make it grow also you can plant an orange and other fruit by digging a hole and while a a fruit is in your pocketclick it and select bury but make sure you water it so it grows

I've only just paid up my first mortgage but I probably will take my time with it 'cos theres so much more to spend my bells on in this version - you know new haircuts and such. You had to wait for the biggest shop before you got Shampoodle on the DS version so you rushed then you could change your hairstyle. This is much better.

Before you go chopping trees down check at the PO about the environment and Pelly/Phyllis will tell you if you have "too much green" or "need more green". If you follow her advice you have a better chance of attracting more animals to your town. Sorry if I am telling you something you already know, but I am thinking about the peoples who have never played this before. I also have planted a money tree but doubt it will fruit, will let you know.

I keep sending fruits to my animals but they haven't responded with more fruit yet, so all I have are Cherries (native), and Oranges and Peaches which I got off Daddio. The fish tanks in the museum are filling up nicely though, and yesterday for 2 fish and a Pearl Oyster I got nearly 20,000 bells off Nookie.

On your last mortgage, lucky thing, I'm still on my second one, but have only been playing a couple of weeks or so. Trees are beginning to look good though and am slowly filling the museum, especially fish and fossils. Have only bought one picture so far, which was from Redds, but it turned out to be a fake. Cost nearly 4000 bells and got less than a 100 for it from Nookys.

Once I get the game going properly I tend to send any unwanted furniture out to the town residents as pressies. They love it and quite often send something really good back (on the DS anyway).

They still aren't sending any fruit though and its a good job you have supplied me with oranges, peaches and pears, which have just fruited by the way. Think I only need apples and coconuts now and I'll have the full range.

It wasn't a hint,it was a statement, honest!
After I had sent my last post I went on the game and found a coconut had finally washed up on the shore. So, all I need now are apples. And yes, that one was a hint.

What I have noticed is that when I buy saplings off Nooky they never grow no matter where I plant them. Which means I'll never have enough trees to satisfy the environment thingy. I even water the damn things when I have planted them. I've changed tactics now as to the way they are planted to see if it helps. Where before I was just selecting the fruit in my pocket and telling it to plant I now dig a hole and then plant. It might work, then again...

My new town has apples as its native fruit but thank you anyway.
The trees Nooky asked me to plant when I was working for him have grown ok,whereas the ones he asked me to plant in the last town died more or less immediately, but yesterday I planted some apples to see what happens and they haven't grown, but I'm hoping I just picked bad spots. I really don't understand it as I had no problem growing trees with the DS game (yes, I know this is a different game but you would think some things work the same). Will just have to keep trying. Just a thought though, does everybody water the trees when they plant them or just leave them to luck. So far I have always watered them but think I might try a few without.

So far, I much prefer this town and wish I had done this last week. I am also getting better presents off the residents as well - got a scarecrow yesterday. I even paid up my first mortgage last night so I have a slightly bigger house today. Hopefully I will soon catch up to where I was and can get the town going properly.

Yeah, the new place is going great and all my trees are growing. Still all apples yet though, as I have been busy catching enough fish to pay off my mortgage. I finally managed it this evening and tomorrow I should be back to the 3rd house which is where I was last week when I decided to restart.

All I need to do now is get the rest of the fruit trees growing (when I get some) and buy enough stuff off Nooky so he closes for a day and opens with a bigger shop. Which can't come soon enough really, as I still haven't managed to buy an axe or a slingshot.

How did you downgrade your shop. I hate only being open until 9pm so I have altered the clock on my wii so it is 3 hours late, and that way I can still use the shop until midnight. Don't know how it will work with visiting and visitors from other towns though.

Every so often Nook asks how to improve the shop, if you select longer opening hours he downgrades the shop. But that means fewer flowers and other goods.

About the codes... I only need the numbers right? I have been typing a random letter for the name and town name, but I guess I haven't caught any of you guys playing as none of them have been edited.

Every so often Nook asks how to improve the shop, if you select longer opening hours he downgrades the shop. But that means fewer flowers and other goods.
You can upgrade again at a later date the same way.
Nook asked me last week which shop I wanted, either variety of goods or longer hours and I choose longer hours, but so far nothing has happened. Does it take a while or has something gone wrong.

It can take a few days, but he should notify you that he'll be closing for a full day. I'd have thought it would have changed by now if it's been over a week. But I maybe wrong.

Hi everybody, back from holiday now and have my Wii back.

Bad news is Nintendo deleted my Wii's memory, so I've lost everything (obviously). I'll have to start from fresh, so once I get a town up and running I'll let you know my new code (so you can delete Ape Lake as it's vanished like something from Lost).

I'll also be on the hunt for people's Wii console friend codes as they've all gone as well. My own Wii code has changed so I'll have to post that up as well at some stage. I only have my girlfriend's code registered now! Lol! Oh well, at least the Wii is fixed :)

Lol! Well if you do buy it then get your code posted up!! :) And I'll post those friends codes later on if I remember. It is a bugger, but seriously, my Wii is about 5 times quicker than it was, it no longer makes clicking sounds when loading, and I now have 15,000 blocks of memory to abuse. So can't grumble too loudly. Though losing nearly 200 hours of Endless Ocean time almost made me weep!

Ok, post your new codes up when you get them and then we can carry on. At least with AC you can start again knowing all the right things to do.

Holiday was great thanks Suze. Vilamoura is such a beatiful place. We stayed in a quiet resort called the Old Village, and it's so relaxing we could have stayed forever. Sad to come home to rain, cold and miserable faces everywhere! Lol! Never mind, Emma's already searching for our next hol! Lol!

It was pretty rubbish knowing I'd have to start over with AC, but I'm not too bothered in the end. I'm sure it'll be fun starting afresh in a new place with new characters to get to know. I'll get the code posted up as soon as I have it.
