Anyone else seen this which is coming out in a few weeks. If not next year? Looks pretty cool being a virtual world pretty much doing things in life just more freely:p. Meet people online, go to the house(called a homespace) and stream through their ps3 stuff. They can put on parties etc and like wise you can aswell.
1 feature that really stunned me is that you can go to a place called home cinema and whatever is on at the time. You can actually watch full, Free Blu-rays movies!!! If make it to the cinema which is god knows how far away.
Now Im not doubt this could the most amazing thing....and yes if I do get my own ps3 i'll be on this aswell as my little brother...But really its sooooo GIMMERKY. Like I might aswell say goodbye to outside world and live in this one nothing could go wrong.
Anyway else think otherwise?

This actually came out officially yesterday though I've had the Beta for a few weeks beforehand to play about with it. Its limited in features at the moment whilst they slowly add to it, this is to ensure the servers don't crash under the strain. You can create and dress your avatar to make them unique, I've opted for an attractive tom boy look so that I get all the boys chatting me up.....yes it happens a lot, saddo's ROFL

Just had a go on my little brother one. Pretty sweet. Definetly will take over real world life lmao.

What is the Little Big Planet. It seems to be a piece of string running around and jumping.

What games do u own and when did u get it?
I got it about 14 months ago when my PS2 broke.http://www.wiifind.co.uk/forum/images/icons/icon10.gif Couldn't have timed it better really, 'cos I think I got one of the last 60Gbs which are the only ones which are backward compatible for PS2 games.
Haven't got many games as I traded them in for wii games when I was skint. Might have some Ratchet and Clank PS2 games floating about somewhere, but they don't play too well on the PS3 as the controls seem sluggish - you shoot a robot and it gets hit 30 seconds later by which time you have been hit about a million times and are well and truly dead.
One of the main reasons I don't use it much is because everytime I look at the games they all seem to be either sports or shoot em ups and I don't particularly like either, apart from Ratchet and Clank who I adore.

the ps3 virtul worl is cool we played pool with a guy and he got all mardy when we beat him and you can play checkers and chess with others aswell............ plus they have new stuff coming soon i ust read that they are adding redbull flight to it which looks good :D
oh and yeah SACK BOY RULES lmao

Ok... I've never played anything on PS3 online (http://www.onlinegames-free.co.uk/). Does it cost anything? Does it work like the Multiplayer on PC, because I played CoD 1 and 2 online there?

Nope, PS3 online play is completely free! :) I don't know if it works like PC multiplayer because I've never played online with the PC. It's simple to set up your online account on PS3 though . You need to create a PSN ID (your online gaming name) first. This is done on the X media bar (the PS3's menu basically). Can't remember which option though because I'm actually an XBox man, but I remember it being fairly easy from when I borrowed my mate's machine.

my girlfriend enjoys playing games on PS3, but she only likes certain types of games.
She loves LBP and Soul Calibur 4 as she finds them fun and we can play them together. She doesnt like shooters like CoD or Killzone though.
Are there any other good games that she may like? They dont all have to be multiplayer

There are lots more fighting games and also puzzle type games it thats what she might like? Nothing else to compare to LBP as its pretty unique and the PS3 doesn't seem to have many platform games but she might like the Ratchet and Clank games?

^^ The Ratchet and Clanks games are amazing. But anyway, keep an eye out for ModNation Racers next year, so far it has been described as the lovechild of LBP and Mario Kart - it should be fantastic.

It does look good that one, if they can get the gameplay as good as MK then it can't fail, my kids will love it even if it isn't :)
