Morning hilly :)

I'm still learning myself and I'm no expert either, but heres what I'm doing...

Class: (I call it "US Medium" US weapons with medium range overall)
Primary Weapon: (Sub-machine gun) Thompson (Attachment) Round Drum
Side Arm: Colt M1911
Primary Grenade: Frag
Special Grenade: Tabun Gas
Perk One: Bazooka x 2
Perk Two: Stopping Power
Perk Three: Steady Aim

I also have a "Close Ranger" Class with a shot-gun, used on smaller maps like Dome...

Dogs....not sure how to avoid them, just back yourself up into corner each time your in a room so you can see better?? thats what I do..

Lying on the floor is done with the "C" button easy to remember C = Crouch, three stages/button presses, from standing straight to slight crouch to lying down back to standing straight........

I'm level 20 Gunnery Sargeant III by the way....

Hope this helps you until an expert appears :)

EDIT: I'm just going online now btw...morning Spotter :)

Its a perk called Martyrdom.....I think I got that perk at level 20...I just started using it....most noobs do apparently...:)

i agree there spotter! moh was so easy that way:( be nice to just be able to see who's in a certain room and join in

I can understand why they've done this way....you need to be invited to join your friend, not just invite yourself....whilst in a room with randomers you can still invite your friends to join you with the randomers just press one in play and look at bottom of screen...Invite friends...if they want to join you they will...you definitely need some form of comms though for it to work A1....

can someone tell how to set satchel packs on Bravoi controls please

My biggest tip is top never stop moving and play the game at 100 miles per hour all the times! I've not mastered this technique very well on Wii as yet though.

I love Martyrdom as a perk but have yet to unlock this. So as it stands I'm using 'stopping power' and 'deep impact'. My aiming is a bit wanky at the moment so any bullets that actually hit the target have to hurt lol.

My preferred gun is the MP40 but I haven't unlocked this either to it's the Thompson for me. Of course I may find the MP40 awful on this version so it could all change.

personally i hate martyrdom because i think you should only get kills/points when you kill someone, not when you die, but obviously i cant do anything about lots of people using it so there you go:p the thompson or the mp40 are good guns for noobies, ive just started using the SVT (its a rifle and is in a set class called rifleman) and it freaking owns!! its best to focus on one gun id say if your a nooba nd unlock the good stuff for it

I consider the martyrdom perk to be a valid kill. As for the MP40, I think it's one of the best guns in the game and that's why I choose it above anything else (once I rank up to level 10 to get my hands on it). I may not be great at this version of the game but I'm certainly no noob to CoD5! I also see plenty of people ranked up and still using it. I've never gone in for the 'certain guns are for noobs' ethos, it's all about personal preference really.

As for the Thompson, it frustrates me how small the clip is. Meet two people in quick succession and you've had it! You need the extra ammo drum for it!

i finaly unlocked the mp40 today and all i can say is WOW! it's im proved my game no end:D just had 3 free for alls and came out in the pluses on all of them for a change (if it wasn't for marytydom i'd have called the dogs lol) i still can't seem to avoid martydom no matter how much i play

im loving the last stand perk thingy when your lying on the ground with just your pistol! it leads to some very funny situations (had a chap trying to stab my earlier till i manages to pop him off lol)

this game is still suprising me after nearly 3 hours play:) if only it had the same lobby system as moh i'd be in gaming heavan!

disagree with your points fella:p mp40 is excellent and apart from the flame thrower, when i get it will be my mainstay, the mp40 has great attributes. martydom is a great points scorer, just stay away, when u kill somone:D

not saying mp40 is bad spotter lol just that its a decent gun for new people. i even have it on my "Invisible" class. i still hate martyrdom lol. im now using the ppsh-44 (the last sub) and it fires super duper fast lol

I actually like Martyrdom. I use it for most of my classes, and I've actually learned to avoid other people's martyrdom grenades. I still get hit sometimes, but I used to always die from them. As for the MP40, I really hate it. Every time I've used it, I can't score a single kill. I do really well with the Type 99 and 100. I think the Type 99 is better because it's pretty accurate. I also usually use the Bomb Squad Perk, which lets you see mines and other explosives. It's saved me I don't know how many times. As for dogs, I usually back into corners or turn around quickly if I hear growling. If you're a close range fighter, then you should never go with bolt action rifles. Shotguns, submachine and machine guns are best for close range. Also remember never to stay in one spot the whole game. If you have a special hiding spot, and get a kill, be sure to move quickly because your victim may come back for revenge, prepared this time. Well, yeah.
