This might not make me very popular as there are already tourneys and competitions arranged through the site, but here goes...

Would anyone be interested in making a regular race night starting at a later time? I'm rarely in bed before 11 and would welcome the opportunity to host these late-night races :) (provided it aint difficult to do!!)

I know some of the younger members may not be able to make a later start time, but I'm thinking more of the older members here.

This would in no way be in competition with the already established race nights and I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes!!!

Let me know if this is of interest.

Fair play Tontonlini! I don't think anyone will think your treading on their toes and time will tell if there is a demand for this event, the problem is normally pinning down a night thats good for enough people to warrant holding the event, we tried holding a Mario Kart night recently on a Friday night which we thought would of been popular being a Friday with no school the following day and for those that work the 9-5 no work the next day.....but alas only two/three turned up...... Do you have a night in mind or is this open to suggestion?

I think the gist of this thread is anyone is welcome, however it may be more popular with the older members, as commitments stop some from getting on any earlier.

I'd be up for this from time to time, although I can't get on the chat room while I'm playing (as my wife steals the laptop whilst I play).

To be honest I think there is really too much Mario karting nights. There already a Monday,Friday and Saturday going on.

I honestly think maybe we should do other online games on these nights rather than one game every night.

Well for a start Friday nights isn't actually happening so it's Monday and Saturday at the moment. I kicked Thurs in the head cos it was too much for me to do. However, if there is enough notice and I'm available, I'd be happy to pop in from time to time, Tontolini :)

Fair enough if people don't want to join in, just don't join in. Simple as.

Btw, I don't know why I quoted you Covey when this is just a general statement! Lol ;)

Oh, don't get me wrong I love MK and I still wanna play it the shceduled times, but no one seems to be a fan of any other online games other than Guitar Hero. Just making an appeal is all ;)

I actually agree, games like battalion was 2, pes08 + fifa09 don't get mentioned much. I'd say more online games but my minds blank at the moment. But as you say, people do tend to only play mkwii, and only just BMB and MOHH2.

On that topic, no online DS action has been mentioned, i'm sure loads of people have LOZ:phantom hourglass, then there's diamond/pearl, advance wars dark conflict ect...

I think what he means is a tournament kinda thing. For example, 8 people join. 4 matches of 1 on 1. Winners go through to next round...ect..until the winner comes out. That could be done with pokemon and battalion wars 2 aswell. And other 1 on 1 games lol..

Well believe or not there was a fifa 08 tournament last year which I hosted last year and which Franksta won. I was trying to organise pes 08 tourney again not enough interest.... We could always do quick tourney night matches. especially with the others.

On that note I think the Ds online action is brianttanly especially Pokemon!!! I think that would attracct many members to that.

I'll be buying myself more online games soon so will be glad to participate in other tourneys too :) Again timing may be tricky though.

Any idea of what night would be best and for how long you'd want to play? As I said, I may be able to have an hours worth of late night racing one night. I'm still thinking Thursday nights starting this Thursday at 10.30. An hour ought to do it.

This Thursday we could kick off with P*rnalikes - Ron Jeremys, Jenna Jamesons, that sort of thing :rolleyes: Alternatively just the trashiest wii you can come up with.

Well, I tried from 10:20pm until you guys finished to get into that room and no joy. it just won't let me in, nor will it let me join Continental or Worldwide races, however I can see when you're online, download top 10 times and ghost data and everything else. So there's a possibility Nintendo have banned Munkletta from racing for having unsightly body hair and man boobs :(

But hope you had a great time. bet it was a good laugh :)

I certainly enjoyed myself and we seemed to have a mixed bag of results, my two memorable highlights both happened on N64 Jungle Parkway, the first was laughing so much at Spotter who'd missed the ramp for the river crossing and secondly squashing both Tontolini & Spotter with my Giant Mushroom as I stopped on the rope bridge, it was a Team GP and needless to say they weren't on my team....very funny chaps!

That's a bummer munkle. I had the same thing the other night. I rebooted the router - or booted the re-router, that helped I think...

Yep some good races and racing, although in the main I was bladdy awful.

5 of us in total. Good couple of gps with stig-spotter and covey covering themselves in glory - or at least i think that's what it was :roll:

As for scores, I dint too well catching all of these - it was my first room host, so am not gonna beat myself up about it. Will try and post some sort of record of events at a later date.
