harvest moon music melody

ok im playing this game and think its pretty good 2 things are bugging me though 1st is the locked gate with the orse picture on, do i ever get to go through it? 2nd is the the path that seems to go somewhere to the far right past the square when i try to walk out it says "more work is needed here first" or something like that, do you ever get to go out there????

Hi Lal, seems we share the same interests in these RPG/adventure titles. Whilst I've not played this one yet, I'll try and dig some information out for you about this. Are you a fan of the Harvest Moon series, and have you played any of the others? The Gamecube one (A Wonderful Life) has been my favourite up to now, but I'm quite hooked on the SNES version that I've just downloaded from the Virtual Console :D

I'll post tomorrow evening with any findings for you :)

Also, did you ever complete Final Fantasy, Crystal Chronicles: My life as a King?

The best site I've found that you may find useful is http://uk.gamespot.com/gamecube/rpg/harvestmoonmagicalmelody/hints.html

There may be a few spoilers on there though so squint whilst you're looking ;)

In my experience with Harvest Moon games, I'd say if there's a gate or an obstruction somewhere, the chances are you'll be able to go through it at some stage. But these games take a lot of effort and patience, so I suspect something should happen. Hopefully that link will help anyway :)

And as Local suggests, Animal crossing is a great game due out soon. There's also Zelda:Twilight Princess and Okami (which I'd recommend everyone buy) on Wii. Also Baten Kaitos on Gamecube is phenomenal and well worth the money :D

And there are some on the Virtual Console you may want to check out. For instance Zelda:The Ocarina of Time. There are some older RPGs and adventures on there that are well worth considering.

cheers munkle ill have a look at the link, is the animal crossing going to be the same as it was on the ds, i played that one and got really bored with it, so bored i started changing the year on ds to go to the future lol felt like it just kept on repeating its self over and over. as for the zelda i thought that was great i would recommend highly too ive play it twice lol,

I think Animal Crossing on Wii is ostensibly the same game but with added online features and things. Check out our Animal Crossing thread for squillions of details ;)

And don't forget Monster Hunter 3 is headed Wii-wards next year. And I've a sneaking suspicion that game is going to be huuuge. A battle RPG that was destined for PS3 until the developer decided to make it a Wii exclusive. If adventure and exploration is your thing that may be one to look forward to. There's also a Pikmin-meets-Dragon Quest game due next year called Little King's Story :D

Did you say you'd played Okami? I think that's the best adventure yet on Wii. if you liked Zelda then you'd love that, in my opinion it's a better game than Twilight Princess.

no not played okami yet, i will in the future i think ive looked at it and it looks good............... i ended up getting animal crossing i couldnt resist lol also added my friend details in the post of codes, feel free to add me............... also i got the chocobo game and i think thats great i love the final fantasy games and this will do fine on the wii lol

Anyone going to get this? I for one am, for some reason the Harvest Moon games have always absorbed me, but since the Playstation one I havent played an HM title. It looks great, the graphics are a little cutesy and Animal Crossing-esque but apparently it never ends unlike AWL.

Being a fan of the series I'd like to get this one too. The one on Gamecube was very atmospheric, and a natural evolution of the series (and looked beautiful). Apparently it's stagnated a little since then, but may check this one out. I'll have to wait for some reviews first, I think.
