I would be very grateful if someone could provide me with a simple way to connect my Wii to my surround sound. I have a one year-old Yamaha DTS/Dolby pro-logic II amp with digital optical inputs plus other usual inputs. It would have been so easy had Nintendo just included a digital opt. out port on the Wii!! Any ideas appreciated. Thanks!

Hi and welcome to WiiFind!!
I'll guess and say that the Wii itself doesn't have any ports that support surround sound, your surround sound will come from the tv and not your wii so providing you've got the right ports on your tv your should be able to it that way ??
Hope this helps

The Wii doesn't provide surround sound just the normal stereo L & R channels.
You should be able to connect just the L & R channels from a component cable to the aux input of your amp and let that take care of the sound.
