anyone know if you can connect the Wii to a PC monitor?

Could just use a tv card on your pc for that.

is it because your computer's monitor is small (thinner) than your tv's screen?
most computer screens are connected by serial ports i think, some new ones by usb. i don't really know besides using tv card in computer, we'd need someone with usb monitor to check it out, as for serial port, i don't know of anything that convoerts it into AV cables.

Yeah you can use wii to connect to a PC monitor, using an S video cable i think, not 100% sure but i pretty certain i read it somewhere.
