Anyway, this will be the actual thread for the rules/stages for the bomberman tournament nights.

I've decided to make the rules for this week a mixture, since it is the first tournament. Here are the Modes and Stages for the 6 scored games we will be playing.

1. Mode: Normal
Stage: Classic

2. Mode: Teams
Stage: Zombies

3. Mode: Countdown
Stage: UFO Mania

4. Mode: Air Raid
Stage: Open Field

5. Mode: King
Stage: Hyper Feet

6. Mode: Surprise
Stage: Random

1st - 12
2nd - 10

Team Match Teams (No, they weren't random, but they are fair.:))
Team 1 - Munkle + Coyster (BLUE)
Team 2 - TheLocalUK + Karen (RED)
Team 3 - Ben93 + Anthud (GREEN)
Team 4 - Kryn1030 + CoveyCom (YELLOW)

Team scoring
1st Team - 12 points each
2nd Team - 10 points each
3rd Team - 8 points each
4th Team - 6 points each

I'll open the Bomberman Room at 9:20 P.M. Then i'll wait for everyone to join. (Obviously:p).
If everyone hasn't joined by 9:30, i start the games.

Yay....nice one Kryn! may I suggest that if time permits, you could open the room at about 9:20pm/9:25pm, I only say this as I had a bit of a nightmare last week trying to join the room and had to disconnect from WFC and then re-connect in order for me to be able to join, online connectivity with this game generally hasn't been too good when playing ranked games in my experience, on any other game I've had no major problems, so with the room hopefully being opened earlier it won't casue any problems/delays for Anthud or anyone else who is time restricted.

Kryn....How is the team battle going to be scored, I've not played many so I can't remember exactly how it goes...are we scored individually and then each team scores put together to see which team has won, I'll take it that our individual scores will be noted per round and then we'll be scored for the tourney that way??

I see what you mean, and don't worry, it's all under control. The scores are put together for each team and thats the team that has won in the game. But, for Anthud's scoring purposes, say it turned out like this -

Team 1 Player - 100 points
Player - 30 points

Team 2 Player - 40 points
Player - 60 points

Team 3 Player - 120 points
Player - 20 points

Team 4 Player - 80 points
Player - 70 points

Ok, so team 4 has the most points, so they win overall. Each player would get 12 points. Then second place, which was team 3 in this case, gets 10 points, team 1 gets 8 points, and team 2 gets 6 points.

So basically, Anthud, make sure you note this down. -

1st team - 12 points
2nd team - 10 points
3rd team - 8 points
4th team - 6 points

Thanks everyone what a brilliant extension on from the MK Tourney, I never thought I'd say it but I think your right Munkle, this is a more fun multiplayer over MK, looking forward to the Video Anthud if you managed to get one, as far as the scoring goes I haven't got a clue how I did & to be honest I don/t care, I had that much fun, the surprise game did throw a spanner in the works at the end by going onto Trophies...I guess like the Team scores in future it could be scored the same whereby your position at the end of the game determines how many points you receive....

There won't be a vid of bomberman coz the charge ran out just when i clicked record but there will be a vid of mario kart. Could we only have four things next time coz i missed the last bit coz i had to go to bed so i didn't get the scores. I got a bit confused with the scoring at the start coz when people joined everything restarted so i only took down two things on that first one. And i just wrote down everything that was on the screen.

No problem at all on all fronts, the MK Tourney finished at approx. 9:05pm last night so I reckon if we aim for 9:15pm/9:20pm, play 5 Battles and I take photos after the 2nd Round of each battle to save me writing it all down we should done by 10pm latest for all those that need to log off...I'll keep the room open after the scored battles for any stragglers that fancy a lock-in :D

Regarding picking the battles, I'll give everyone until Tuesday to let me know their preferences and will then announce what we're playing on Thursday.

Hyper feet was mental, even with our alcohol I was unable to keep my eye on my guy. Countdown rules, so funny just to watch you guys chasing each other.....or should that be kryn running from covey :D

Personally I love Hyper Feet for its pure insanity :D plus you'll see if you play it enough times the amount of points that there are up for grabs for say moving over 200 spaces....I thought I'd make it the first one to get it out the way for those who like the more relaxed arenas....In case anyone hasn't noticed I've changed the Rules slightly so make sure you read them.....

I'd give it top marks. It has everything you expect from it. Hilarious multiplayer and lots of different game styles. If you like playing online it's well worth it :D

Glad you liked the Drunkle thing. I gave him red eyes but I don't know if you could see them properly. Should have used him on the Bomberman Tournament too :D

I would definitely recommend this game, as Munkle has stated there are plenty of arenas and game types on offer which in turn creates a multitude of possible outcomes, the gameplay is quick (especially on Hyper Feet :D ) and is certainly addictive... Online games can be great fun and when playing with friends more optione become available regarding gameplay (Teams & Surprise).

For 1000 points/£7 its a great game, look out for Anthuds video coming soon and you'll see how we got on last night....I do hope Anthud caught Munkle chasing Local in Countdown....quality!

If enough members get the game, Kryn wants to introduce a Premiership & Championship Leagues as the game only allows a maximum of 8 players per room, so far we have 9 active players, so when Kryn returns someone will need to drop each week so we all get to play in the tourney, with more players we could do two rooms of 5 players.....

we'll need:

* An Order of Play (eg. 1st=King 2nd=Countdown 3rd=Teams etc)
* Which Arenas with which rules (eg. King + Power Freaks / Countdown + Zombies etc)

Another fun night of Bomberman! Thanks everyone, I'm glad I recorded what I did...I wasn't sure if at any time the tourney was going to restart with the arrival of Munkle/Coyster or IVAN... despite my lack of partner in teams I was chuffed to come second by myself :)

Whoever hosts each room would do the scoring, we'd all play the same rules and then put all the scores together in one leaderboard?

The number of participants is likely to go up, I know our newest member Alfred has the game as I played him the other night, so that makes us 11, Kryn has someone who would play alongside him thats 12 and who knows maybe Tontolini may even join in......with only 8 people per room permitted this would be a fair way for everyone to take part....

Time is running out for Saturday so it would be nice to know A) Whose playing this week & B) if a second room is required whose going to host this week/pick the rules/stages......I can host if necessary and I'm sure Kryn could host the second room but I though it would be nice if we all took in turns to pick the rules/stages and host....thoughts on a following post please :)

Welcome back Kryn! yes we've been a bit busy this week and have had a few new recruits joining us for the tournament, something we'd hoped would happen just before you left for your vacation, it would appear that we now have enough people to introduce your premiership and championship idea, may I suggest for tonight that we both record the actual scores achieved by each player and then I send the results of my room to you and then you can score each battle as if we were all in one room and use the score system for 10-12 players depending on how many of us show up, then the top 5 players go into the premiership and the remainder go into the championship.... Just a suggestion, let me know what you think.

There's only one problem I can see with this idea, and that's that me and Coyster come as a pair, Local and Karen the same. So regardless of where we finish we'll still have to stay in the same group together as a pair. If that makes any sense at all ;)

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of divisions/leagues, but maybe we should just have two equal rooms where the people are jiggled about every week? Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, so maybe it'd be good for different people to meet up on occasion. Judging by the couple of nights we've attended, it seems to be a fairly balanced mix of people :)

My idea on the scoring is now to put in the Room 2 scores for each battle (eg. Kryn +250 Local -25 Karen +125) place each player (Kryn = 1st, Alfred = 2nd etc....) and then give each player their score from Scoring System, so tonight we can see 8 people played in total so whoever came 1st= 10pts 2nd= 8pts 3rd= 6pts 4th= 5pts and so on...... so if upto 12 players were playing, the scores are combined between the rooms as if all 12 people had been playing in 1 room and not 2.....does that make sense???

Thanks Alfred, Thanks Ivan, its nice to know its appreciated :) and Ivan theres hope for you yet, my method of scoring is based on your final room position, once the two rooms scores have been combined, for example in Battle 1 you currently are placed 4th(out of 5 players), but if you include Kryn, Local & Karens scores, depending on how much they scored individually you could end up 4th (out of 8 players), you would then score 5 points for Battle 1..... so when all battles have been sorted and points given out, you may only be 10 points (for example) away from Alfred :)

Every 2 weeks the top scorer of Ligue 1 will go up to Serie A, and the lowest scorer of Serie A will go down to Ligue 1.
The guest players have seperate decisions and it is all sorted out do not worry:).

Whilst on the issue of going online, has anyone had any recent problems with getting on there? I had a few games of this yesterday online and got disconnected half an hour in :(

No issue for me other than the usual disconnections, half an hour of random matches is good Munkle, generally I've not found the online games with randomers to be the best due to disconnections, but for £7 I ain't complaining, if I'd payed £20 I'd have issues with Hudson but all in all for what I've paid I'm happy....it is though nonetheless very frustrating at times....

Whilst I'm here I might aswell do a roll call for LBP players tonight:

Could you just explain the scoring for Round 1 and also about the handicap option that I think only the hosts can alter??

Yea sure.

Ok with the handicap thing, the players have to tell the hosts which one they want, if they don't just choose a random one for them.

As for the scoring, due to surprise rounds always being trophy matches, (i was going to PM you but hey) since your the host covey, you set the amount of wins needed to anything you want, and then just do it by how many trophys people get. If theres people drawing, which there probably will be, score tie them. I'd set it to 4 trophys needed maybe..or 3.

No worries, I bought a cheap Energizer charger which came with 6 x 2500mAh batteries of Ebay and haven't looked back since...has saved me an absolute fortune, totally recommend it!!!!

Its Promotion week this week LBP so which one of you 'orrible lot is going to deny Ben that promotion spot hey!!

Every 2 weeks someone from IBP gets dropped to to us and we in turn get to promote one of us up to IBP...its as simple as that....



So for the last two week period it means I got promoted to the IBP league and Ivan became relegated (dropped) to the LBP League.... so every week every point counts so you can either keep you place within the IBP League or strive to get promoted from the LBP League...

The guest players have seperate decisions and it is all sorted out do not worry.
