Ok people - indications are that the pre-orders from Toys r Us, initially at least are intended for launch day.

Just to clarify - the original post was not about how good Toys r Us is, just that i had received information that Toys r Us were taking pre-orders when everyone elses pre-orders were running out.

I always buy the 3G ipa to have GPS but don't turn on my data plan � in fact, I normally have cellular data disabled, and GPS works great � they are totally independent. iPad to iTunes (http://www.topdvdtoipad.com/ipad-magic-win.html/) I turned it on for applications, but the cellular switch is turned off. I totally agree. I use iRealSMS and I can not bear with my iPhone without it. Quick response and quick end, the 2 features I use most often when Jailbroken.
