uhm let's see here.

1. Golden mushroom
2. Triple banana (fending of 4 red shells when you're first?, yes please :p)
3. Triple red shell
4. Triple shrooms
5. Star
6. Blue shell
7. Bullet bill
8. Green shell (good all around purpose really, i thought about putting it higher but meh)

Don't care much for the other items

Same as Eric's top 3 for me, with Star followed by Bullet Bill :D

I just love the feeling of continuous acceleration/boosts that the golden mushrooms provide. It's great for sometimes sneaking a late comeback, and maybe overtaking the leader on the line ;)
