Gamecube controllers

Can you use gamecube controllers on a wii to play normal wii games? I cant get any extra controllers yet but my bf can lend me some gamecube ones!

you can use the GC controllers to play GC games on the wii, but im not sure if you can use them for Wii games, i doubt it though

Yeah you can use GC controllers on some games that may be easier with them for instance possibly brawl and DBZ
