Favourite character(s)/vehicles on MK and why?

I couldn't find a topic like this, the closest being character stats, but that doesn't count :p

So tell me, who do you prefer and for what reason?

I think mine has to be Yoshi, I keep trying to use heavier characters that I think may be slightly quicker, but seem to default to Yoshi due to his slicker handling/cornering abilities. That big ape guy is pretty good to use, but a bit too damn chunky at times, and his bikes with better acceleration tend to be a bit naff overall.

Also, I have 2 Yoshi teddies (that really belong to the Coyster ;) so i'd feel too guilty if I didn't use him ... Right? Lol!)

Forgot to mention my favourite bike, which - by random chance - is also the Mach Bike. And, as you say, the acceleration lets it down.

oh well it has to be balanced lol, i cant stand it how when sum1 hits u when wheelieng it slows u down loads, really gets on my nerves

Dry bones + mach bike = best mini turbo boost in the game. So awesome for courses with lots of curves.

normally rotate a bit, between toad on the bullet and mario on the mach. prefer mario on the mach for good control/speed and not getting battered around for grand prix, especiaslly the online savage ones:p I cheat and go automatic online.

Mine is Baby Daisy + Quacker... reason: Cute, lol! and the Quackers is good handling, acceleration and speed isn't too bad either.

You got to admit, it's more the cute aspect of it :p Lol! (But I like that bike too!).

I use automatic, I just cannot be bothered with Manual, I'm useless at it. Need to practise it really, but maybe when I've got more time ...

I like to use Boo because I like the look of his vehicles, no other reason.

Yes he is. Also why i'm not to bothered about blue shells, ususally i have a good enough lead and he has nice accel.

Bullet Bike and the Mach type have the same type of stats as well. (both have a mini turbo boost etc)

Only thing is that the mach bike is faster and has less accel, so we're on the same wavelenght there :p.

I like to try a few different ones, just to see if I'm missing out on any better vehicles, but none seem to suit me like Yoshi/Mario or chunky ape (keep forgetting his name).

I tried using Dry Bowser but hated the feel of the turning. And the lighter ones can be a little too sensitive on the corners. I definitely think the mach bike and medium character combo are the better balanced.

That stig Mii looked pretty cool out there on the track. But I'm dubious of his intentions in those team races ... :p ;)

That Wario bike seemed pretty damn fast, with a really good top speed. On those long straights it's quite a tough vehicle to catch up to. How do you find the steering on it. I don't think it's a bike I've used often, if at all. I try stay away from the heavy classes due to their poor cornering.

i dont know what you mean? cast those aspersions at the stig, how very dare you:D was a certain lady in your household who kept assaulting him! glad you got a good view from behind us:D tis a good bike, corner early though! stole the idea off coveycom, as he kept beating me and stig is a large character. good acceleration, essential for a slug fest er...grand prix:D practice makes perfect!
