ok folks, what item do you detest the most? spiky blue shell for me, hate the damn thing, happily cruisin along for a win and then..bang! i always smile when one flies overhead though, especially if im a distant 2nd!:D

Blue shells are pretty annoying, but then so are those lightning bolts, they always seem to get me as I'm over a precipice like on Mushroom Gorge :(

Mind you, as mentioned, it's always nice to see a blue shell flying by overhead :cool:

Yeah it has to be the cloud for me, its ok if your close to someone and passing it round can be fun, but its when you make that judgement call to stop in the track praying that someone bumps into you and they don't...

The item I miss is the ghost like in Mario Kart 64 when you were able to steal the item from the person closest to you, would love to see that itme again in a future version.

Agreed. That ghost was a damn cool item. And could lead to some very strategic (friend hurting) manoeuvres ;)

I used to quite enjoy Yoshi's egg from Double Dash, when it would break open and either provide you with speed bursts or bananas. Or those fireballs that could take out multiple races.

lol apparently u can dodge it if you use a mushroom just before it hits, thing is chances are if oyur in 1st you wont have a freaking mushroom!!

if werent for blue shells id have 3 stars by now:p at saturday nights kart fun fest i got about 5 or 6 clouds, gets a bit much when you get more than 1 in 1 race:o too much lightning is getting annoying too:(

As for the blue shells, i was online this morning in a perfectly good second (hates being in less that first) and the first place guy finished and i got hit by a blue shell in second!!! I came third then because i was so close to the line:( . It shouldn't have got me just because first place had finished.

i actually managed to outrun a blue shell earlier on maple treeway, kind of on purpose:p on the straight before the rickety bridge. just before it hit there was a mushroom on the floor, got to it just in time. couldnt believe my luck. first adrenalin rush ive had in years..lol

It is a great feeling, when you just manage to get into that booster-pipe just as it's about to throw you into a fit of hysterics!!! :o ;) Maybe it's good that dodging them doesn't happen very often, as the novelty would soon where off :p Lol!

Die blue shells die!!!!!!!!!! :mad: How unfair is this? Playing that DS Desert level, and got 6 blue shells in 2 laps, and 7 red shells (and boy was I counting! Raaaaaaaaaaah!). From 1st to 8th or something. Where is the fairness in that? Sometimes I hate the fact that this game is less about skill and more about items :(

But it's still damn addictive :rolleyes:
