View Full Version : Does The Wiiware Service Live Up To Your Expectations?

Though still early in it's life, the Wiiware service is nevertheless a thriving entity, feeding off our hard earned money. But, in your honest opinion, has it thus far impressed you, or disappointed you to the point where you sigh in resignation?

There are some corking games on there, Final Fantasy/Toki Tori/LostWinds etc and some real drivel, Pokemon Ranch/Pirates/SPOGS Racing and the diabolical eating game which will probably regurgitate a sequel.

Do you think Nintendo should have better Quality Control on this service to make sure Dish Washing Champion never becomes a reality? :)

No sir, i don´t like it (much). Imo, there is hardly anything out there that is a must have, the only things i´m excited for is mega man 9 and strong bad.

The way i see it, toki tori, lost winds and Dr.mario are the only ones i´d recommend.

Then you're ashamed ;) Go on, get voting. I don't literally mean ashamed, of course. Just that you're not impressed :D

I'm impressed with some of it, but there is a lot of crap out there, and none of it from Ubisoft for once! Lol!

Can't really comment yet, as so far I've only downloaded pop. Been on it a few times, but I think the novelty of popping bubbles has worn off.

It would be a better idea to have 'try before you buy'. Download something and you get 24 hours (or something along those lines) game play with it. If you like the game then give Ninty your points, if you don't then just delete it and get your storage memory back.

Good idea, something they could do through the Shop Channel. problem there is, you could have LostWinds finished on one sitting of the demo ;)

Even a stage would give you a feel for the game, more than a demo on the Nintendo Channel anyway :)

I like the idea of the DS downloads, so maybe that is the way to go.

I've not brought any wiiware games but from what I can see they are as good as any thing you can get of the other next gen consoles online stores.

More online wiiware games are needed. Don't take so long to add new games. I am happy with wiiware. Don't get me wrong. It just could be so much better.

That's the Alfred I remember. Welcome to the forum buddy :D

I think the Admin of Wiifind should buy us all a Wiiware game for Christmas, just to show their appreciation of us :p

The Wiiware collection is building up pretty quickly really. I'm going to update those charts soon. Be interesting to see the change (if any) since I last updated (in 1945).

Anyone getting Tetris?

I thought about getting this one..
I think it's Multiplayer online...I'm not sure..

I used to love playing this but only as a single player.
Once you find a rhythm you can go on for ages
Think I'd rather have it on DS..

If anyone else gets it for online nights, I will...

There are quite a few different modes you can play online apparently, and has been mentioned as being a great buy if you want it for that purpose. I was thinking of getting it the other night, but instead bought Harvest Moon on VC and have been addicted ever since.
