Top 20 WiiWare Games (UK)

Well, it would be the top 20 if 20 had been released, however as of this 1st entry we'll have to be half a dozen or so games short. The following information has been extracted from the Wii Shop Channel, so if there are any inconsistencies blame Nintendo! ;)

3. Lost Winds.
4. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A King.
5. Pop.
6. Cocoto Fishing Master.
7. SPOGS racing.
8. Pirates: The Key Of Dreams.
9. Dr Mario & Germ Buster.
10. Block Breaker Deluxe.
11. Star Soldier R.
12. Toki Tori.
13. Actionloop Twist.

Disappointed to see Toki Tori so far down, despite not downloading it myself yet. Strangely enough people are downloading SPOGS racing, maybe in testament to the fact that some people purchase games blindly without taking into account reviews of any kind.

My Pokemon Ranch seems an obvious number 1. Guess poeple go for the brand rather than the quality. Be interesting to see if Defend Your Castle will go for the number one next week. I'll update again next Sunday/Monday.

I'm more surprised to see TV Show King at number 2, this could be an indication that the Wii still has lots of support from casual gamers and the novelty for them owning a Wii hasn't worn off.

It is pretty shocking. I watched the vid for it on the Nintendo Channel and it looks diabolical, as if they couldn't be bothered to dedicate any time to the thing.

And I agree, Local. It's also good to see casual gamers taking advantage of Wiiware, which I didn't think would really happen. I haven't really seen WiiWare advertised much.

Both new entries riding high already in the charts. But, no surprises, it cannot knock My Pokemon Ranch from it's throne.

Not many games pay enough attention to the clouds. Which is a shame. SPOGS racing could have been a classic with some silver linings thrown in ;)

No changes there for the bottom four, but Defend Your Castle (despite some reservations) leaps into the top spot, finally managing to topple My Pokemon Ranch off of the top spot. Wild West Guns is obviously selling well for an expensive new addition, but nontheless reportedly worthy of it's 1000 point price tag :D

It's true though, isn't it? When people discuss them it's as if they're nonchalant of the fact that, although it's virtual money, it's still paid for with real money! Lol! Unless -of course- you've managed to save up some Wii points via the stars system, which is ridiculously extortionate. What is it, 400 stars for 100 Wii Points? Rip off! But anyway, that's for another discussion ;)
