News fans of the series have been waiting for, the release of a new retro-title due out for Wiiware. I find the 80's style graphics quite appealing, though modern gamers may scoff at the decision to run with them. Ahhh ... The smell of nostalgia.

Never played a Megaman game, but definitely keeping a sight with the people's eye.

No, it isn't because it's number 9. :p

Here's another tiny snippet of Mega Man 9 news for those of you out there who can't seem to get enough of it.
According to Nintendojo (http://www.nintendojo.com/infocus/view_item.php?1217623883), Capcom has confirmed that Mega Man 9 will indeed support not only the Wii Remote held sideways, but also the Classic and Gamecube controllers. What this also means is that if you're lucky enough to own one of the Wii NES RetroPort adapters (http://www.retrousb.com/index.php?categoryID=80), you can even use the original NES controller to play the game for that authentic 8-bit feeling. Could Power Glove support possibly be next?
We'll keep you informed on any new Mega Man news as it becomes available.

It's been officially reported that Capcom are giving the game flicker, like the old games, for that real authentic experience.

The wait is almost over! Capcom has announced the US release of their highly-anticipated Mega Man 9 (http://www.wiiware-world.com/games/wiiware/mega_man_9) WiiWare title this coming Monday, September 22. This also means that WiiWare will see a release of the game before any other download service on the competing consoles.
As if this good news wasn't enough, Capcom has also announced a bit of downloadable content for Mega Man 9 in the form of the Proto Man character. On October 6th, gamers can shell out an additional 200 Wii Points for this new character. Proto Man comes with a host of new game play features including:

The ability to slide and charge his shots up
Can deflect some bullets with his shield
Bullets striking Proto Man push him back twice as far as Mega Man
His charge shot is interrupted when he takes a hit
No Rush adapters as he has his own set of adaptersWhile we're not sure how many gamers will want to shell out an additional 200 Wii Points for one character, it's definitely nice to see Capcom at least making it available. Who knows, maybe this will lead to even more Mega Man 9 downloadable content in the future.

So, can we expect the European version very soon? :D
